A true sample of Bologna

I am actually torn between 2 and 3 stars. I guess I am giving 3 because of the atmosphere. I ordered the truffle risotto.. and it was good, but nothing special. Steak dish, tagliateli bolognese, side of veggies, and desert were quite boring. I Wine was good. Most disappointing was the service.. nice, but unattentive.. and at one point they... More

What a find! This restaurant has been going for 10 years but it looks like it's been there forever. They take a huge amount of care over every dish, every coffee and are happy to suggest things you might like, especially those that typify the cuisine of Bologna. On a hot July night it's a bit warm inside but the... More

This was our first night out in Bologna. We reserved a table for 20:00 during the day, and that seemed to be a good decision as people were turned down as we ate. The staff is friendly and their English is surprising good. We ordered a large antipasti to share and two primi. They recommended that we waited to order... More

We end up sat on a little terrace by the side of a very quiet street which wasn't great for a view. The food was quite uninspiring and the service cheerful. Good wine suggestion however.

The owners are a little picky about people turning up and you will stand more chance if you book before than just turn up. That said on our booked visit we had a lovely meal. We were definitely seeking lighter options in the sweltering heat during our stay in Bologna and found the seasonal options on the menu (in Italian)... More

Very good food (hard to go wrong in Bologna) and service. Outdoor seating is by a construction site, which isn't ideal. For better food and greater charm go to Osteria al 15, just around the block on Via Mirasole.

Agree with most of the other reviewers so nothing more to add than what everyone else already has said. The owner, the lady was super helpful and friendly and her husband was okay. But let's focus on the food. My expectation in Italy is that every restaurant should be good, that's how it always was before social media. And this... More

We initially ate here as it was so close to our hotel and enjoyed it so much we booked again for another night. The food was very tasty with a nice selection of traditional regional dishes. The very nice lady owner was more than happy to give advice and she spoke excellent English. Our bill averaged €55 for two with... More

A very friendly restaurant well run by husband and wife team. The food is very good though quantities were on the large side for us. We both had tortellini in brodo to start. My husband had veal with asparagus for his main course while I had slices of fillet steak with lambs lettuce, parmigiano and balsamic vinegar. We both had... More
