For our first evening in Bologna we ate at one of the restaurants near our hotel. It was a very good choice. The small menu was full of local specialities, perfectly cooked, and with good local wine. I had to start with the Bologna signature dish of tagliatelle al ragu which was far better than anything similar I had tasted... More

I visited with 2 local business friends this week. The general impression when you enter is a well run restaurant with attentative staff. All tables but the one reserved for us were occupied which is also a good sign! The furnishing is traditional and elegant. With a little bit of discussion in Italian with the female owner my friends ordered... More

We recently ate here with a friend who had been before. She picked our entrees and we were delighted with the taste treat. The pastas were wonderful and we ate every bite! This restaurant sets away from the main part of town and is close to Hotel Porto Mamolo. Give it a try and you'll enjoy a great meal.

Popular local restaurant ( booking advised as people were being turned away) . Excellent local food and large portions. Well run by the friendly cheerful lady owner. Good food, good wine and reasonably priced. Recommended.

Small, charming place on the outskirts of the historic area, but near our hotel. The woman owner is always on the spot, supervising and advising. The goat cheese with porcini and leeks appetizer was amazing. The pasta is homemade - we had the tagliatelle and the tortellini - and the sauces are heavenly. There is an excellent wine list and... We made the 25 minute walk from Hotel Internazionale to this little gem on the recommendation of a friend from England. It was well worth the stroll. We had booked a table by phone, and were warmly welcomed by jolly female host and shown to delightful outside table with two or three couples nearby already enjoying the experience. We handed... Lovely authentic dining experience. Hosts very friendly and made an effort to get us an outside space although these were at a premium at the time. Tortelloni di ricotta burro e oro (o burro e salvia) was very tasty. Strozzapreti del “Passatore” (con porcini-piselli-prosciutto) was tasty but a little salty for my palate. Had a superb vino nobile di montepulciano... More

Can not recommend highly enough. Home made pasta, great local wine recommendation and superb mains and dessert with warm service from the waiters - one cannot ask for anything else to turn around our first night in bologna after a day of flight drama and a shocking apartment experience ( Olympia apartment) upon arrival.
