This restaurant adjoins the Amadeus Hotel in Bologna. Quite a unique atmosphere and layout. Service was prompt, efficient and the attendants were very friendly. We probably should have asked for a bit of explanation about the menu but we managed on our own, but don't hesitate to ask as they are happy to answer your questions. If you want a... More

We ate at this ristorante three times in two weeks while staying in Bologna. Try the Rocket or Tortellini. My wife is a picky eater and she loved it. Great staff who remembered us every time!

Every time I am at the restaurant I would order mussels, and few months after that first visit , i was in bologna again and they asked me if i would like some mussels in tomato sauce....i seldom experience this sort of service and attentiveness in italy ,but this one is definitely in my good book. Throughout my stay at... More

This was our first time in Italy and we found this place quite by good luck. The atmosphere was lovely, the waiters patient with my awkward Italian, and the food was terrific and a good buy, When you think of Italian restaurants this is the place that is your ideal destination. My only regret is we had to leave for... More

An old-world picturesque establishment with a great menu selection. I am usually skeptical of hotel restaurants (II Pavaglione is right inside of the Amadeus), but our party was rather tired...yet hungry and decided to give it a try. Good portions and menu choices satisfied some of the pickier eaters in the group. One word of advice to new Euro travelers:... More

I came to Italy to see the great atmosphere and the great food. I was very pleased with what we had gone to eat for dinner on the last day of our vacation. We decided to stop here. And it was the absolute best food we've had in a long time. In the US I always loved Italian food. But... More

Attached to the Amadeus hotel, the retaurant is a pleasant venue with interesting decor. The menu is extensive, and provided ample choice. The food was slow in coming. After nearly anhour we were informedof a further delay of 15 minutes. We were offered a free pizza in the meantime. This arrived together with the manin meal.................... The quality of the... By far, the first thing that caught my attention was the atmosphere. It is a beautiful, rustic set-up that is not overdone. The beams across the ceiling are just impressive. The set-up is nice without being overly formal. I must say, if you ever have a chance to eat on the “Summer Veranda”, take the opportunity; the view is definitely... More

i honestly wasn't a big fan of Italian food until i had Il Pavaglione. Olive garden (yuck!!) had always left a disgusting taste in my mouth and turned off from Italian food completely. this was my families first vacation and we all loved it! Even though were American we were treated like equals with an equally friendly staff. The rocky... More

My partner and I ate at this restaurant during our recent trip to Italy and I have to say I was pleasantly suprised, as we had not had such a good experience with other restaurants close by. The food was superb and I liked the fact there was plenty of choice on the menu including english dishes. My partner had... More
