Arriving on a Sunday when many places are closed, we were directed to this restaurant nearby our hotel. Started with the best tortellini in brodo, followed by simple but good veal piccata. Our waiter was charming and gracious. Nearby tables filled with multigenerational families.

We visited Ristorante Diana on the second night of our trip,we had been recommended so booked earlier in the day. The decor is old fashioned Italian, extremely bright ( not at all kind to ladies of a certain age! ) and mirrored. We were seated at a table in the middle of the room (2 of us ) and felt rather... Great and traditional Italian food. The pork and lasagne was simply amazing, The pasta bolognese also was very especial.

The "Diana" for decades has been Bologna's traditional restaurant, the meeting point of the local "bourgeoisie", the place where one could allegedly taste the world's best "tortellini" and "bolliti misti" (the Italian version of the German "Tafelspitz). We took a couple a friend with their five-year old daughter. The "tortellini" were indeed very good, even if slightly too "al dente"... More

Not a very good dining experience at Diana. We waited 20 mins to have our order taken which set the mood for the rest of the meal. The waiter, and there were many of them, showed very little interest in taking our order and we got the impression that he would rather be doing something else. The wine arrived and... More

Over staffed and over priced for less than average food. Pasta was uneventful and was lack luster. Staff dis engaged and almost rude. About twenty diners for ten staff including the coat attendant. Most noise came from the staff either in the restaurant or in the kitchen. Place needs a good clean dessert trolleys and mirrors. Place has obviously seen... More

We passed by this well-located restaurant and decided we would go there the next day, it looked like a good restaurant with some history behind it. The access is flat (we were with a wheelchair) but there is no accessible toilet (toilets are actually on 1st floor). We all had a good meal (I chose the tortellini with broth, I... More

My family (six of us) came here during our visit to Bologna during the Christmas break. The staff were cheerful and the setting was quite "family-feel" without being overly pretentious. But it was the food that was worth coming for - proper pasta. We tried all kinds of it and loved every bite. The lasagne especially was superb, but it... More
