Once THE best or one of the very best in Bologna, time has passed and is now mostly a tourist place. Still, the fritto and bollito are still good and some of the pastas also. The house wine (Lambrusco) is ok and good selection. Deserts ok. Service a bit latent.

Touristic trap in the centre of Bologna. Average food for rather high price. Unfriendly staff and a cold service.

where time has stood still but food has stayed inviting. ignore the complaint about the cover charge...it's just one of those customs. have the bolito mist and the fritto mist...both if you can manage! vitello is pretty good too.

Oh my goodness, I've never written a review before but this restaurant forced me to! On the bill we were made to pay a cover charge of 9 euros for 2 persons for a bread basket with stale bread that we only had a couple of small pieces of, and then saw it recycled two tables down when we had... My wife and I recently visited Bologna, the food capitol of Italy. We enjoyed Diana so much, we ate dinner there two out of the three nights during our stay. The staff is friendly, very gracious and accommodating. Excellent service. Our dinners were cooked to perfection. The first night we went for pasta dishes which were great. The second time... More

Bologna is a city known for its food so virtually any restaurnt selected will be OK. The Diana was fine but nothing special. I was in a large party and sometimes the service was rather slow but never too bad. The food was tasty and medium price with some local specialities as well as more common Italian favourites. Decor slightly... More

The service was old school and sincere. It is eorth a visit just for the service. The food was old school and nice. Everything was very good but nothing as great as the service. A veteran tesm that is polished yet fun. If in town for more than a few days go for the experience. Reasonsble and inexpensive for the... More

Four of us dined at this rather upscale ristorante at 24 via dell Indipendenza and were very satisfied with the recommendation. Reservations are usually necessary. Each dish was well prepared and served by an excellent staff. We dined outside of the main restaurant so we could take in the atmosphere of Bologna. The interior dining room at Diana is first... A lovely busy restaurant with an outside area. Had a huge plate of San Danielle proscuitto at we thought a very reasonable price. Our chicken main was delicious but slightly overpriced we thought. The wines and grappa were excellent and very good value. Recommended.

Good reason this is on everyone's recommendation list. Casual dining offering the regions specialties. If you don't mind the noise and hustle of the street, eat outside.
