excellent and unusual food

This place is hard to classify. It's not a vegetarian restaurant -- I had excellent prosciutto for my first course. But it is focused on sustainability -- the wine and the bread, both excellent, came from local sources. It offers unusual dishes -- I had a tofu tart with carrots as my first dish... read more

Great quality on food, everything is fresh, no microwave (!), the manager (or waitress in charge of the restaurant, not sure, is the most lovely one, you will come back here first of all because of her kindness with clients) I recommend to try their house red wine and the MENU DEGUSTAZIONE

No-frills organic pizza place. We had a Bologna (mortadella, pumpkin, ricotta, tomato) and a Universita (tomato, lumps of buffalo mozzarella & fresh basil). They were both of a good size, with a crispy, crusty base, and with good quality toppings. We were both impressed and pleasantly surprised. Lovely beer too. Nice friendly service.

We arrived on a rainy day in Bologna and stumbled by accident upon this great osteria. Everything was right about it - the welcome, the food, the wine, even the style of the menus made out of recycled cardboard ! It felt authentic and not created for tourists ( like Bologna itself !) As a group of seven "mature" students... More

The tagliatelle was very good as well as the vegetarian tasting platter (degustation). Awesome to find a place that caters for meat and non meat eaters. Will definitely be going back next time Im Bologna.

Visited Il Rovescio two times. Most guests were Italian, no tourists in sight. Food and atmosefere were great. Service was fine. If you want a taste of real (bio) Italian food, wines and atmosfere this place is definitely worth a try. Also the prices are great, main courses between 8 tot 15 euro's.

Stopped at this restaurant whilst walking in this lively road on a Saturday night. The menu seemed interesting using only local produce found in season. The food was exceptional and the service too, definitely recommend.

Just off of the lively via pratello this is a trendy osteria popular with locals. The cuisine is Italian but with vegan touches and fresh local produce. The menu is limited and the food is adequate. Staff is great and the vibe is good fun.

I've found this small osteria practically by chance and I was super happy. I was attracted by the plenty of Vegetarian options (even though it's not a vegetarian restaurant) and by the selection of quite elaborated dishes. It's evident that they take care of the quality and of having you eat something special. Not cheap, but tasty, definitely worth the... More

I was there twice, in July and November. On the first occasion I sat outdoors, on a crowded pavement ovelooking a polluted alley. The food was just average, but I decided to give it a second try. In November I sat indoors but there were too many tables for a (very small) place, which made service quite difficult and the... More
