A fresher take on a bolognese osteria.

Just off of the lively via pratello this is a trendy osteria popular with locals. The cuisine is Italian but with vegan touches and fresh local produce. The menu is limited and the food is adequate. Staff is great and the vibe is good fun.

The tagliatelle was very good as well as the vegetarian tasting platter (degustation). Awesome to find a place that caters for meat and non meat eaters. Will definitely be going back next time Im Bologna.

Stopped at this restaurant whilst walking in this lively road on a Saturday night. The menu seemed interesting using only local produce found in season. The food was exceptional and the service too, definitely recommend.

I've found this small osteria practically by chance and I was super happy. I was attracted by the plenty of Vegetarian options (even though it's not a vegetarian restaurant) and by the selection of quite elaborated dishes. It's evident that they take care of the quality and of having you eat something special. Not cheap, but tasty, definitely worth the... More

I was there twice, in July and November. On the first occasion I sat outdoors, on a crowded pavement ovelooking a polluted alley. The food was just average, but I decided to give it a second try. In November I sat indoors but there were too many tables for a (very small) place, which made service quite difficult and the... More

Recommended to this restaurant by meat eating friends, as vegetarians we were delighted to discover that the wide vegetarian selection was equally excellent. The seasonal menu focuses on fresh local ingredients, we opted for the vegetarian antipasti selection and pasta all delicious. The restaurant was full and lively with a good cosmopolitan atmosphere but the staff still passionate and attentive.... More

I liked very much the place: in the inside you can enjoy a warm atmosphere and there are little concerts and performances sometimes, and they also have a little terrace on the street, where there's also nightlife and young people. The food was very tasty and had a huge variety of dishes: from meat-dishes to vegan dishes and desserts, and... More

Osteria il Rovescio, a word meaning something like inside out or upside down, was a tiny place on a side street off Via del Pratello, run by a handful of young people with a passion for great cooking. We (2 couples) shared a fabulous meal of unusual flavors and 2 wines, a Sangio-Barbera blend and a 100% Sangiovese. Francesca was... More

A friend and I stumbled across this place on our last night staying in Bologna, and loved it. An incredibly helpful and charming young woman served us - my Italian is limited but she had some English and between us we managed just fine. Both of us were highly impressed with the food and the charming surroundings and the service.... More
