When I ate the dark chocolate ice cream here I felt like I was finding god. I try not to speak in too many superlatives on trip advisor but this really was the most intense experience with food I have ever had. It is a much further walk than most places in the centre of town but it is the... More

Gianduia and cremino ludovico were a spectacular combination, so much so I had to have seconds! Gorgeous. 2nd visit here in 2 years and will be on the list again next time I'm in Bologna :)

We came here three days in a row. Each day we tried different flavors. Every flavor we had was heavenly....soft, smooth, thick, creamy, and flavors so intense it seems unfair. How can we return to eating regular ice cream? The people there are friendly, it's fun to watch them make the gelato in the back, and if the weather had... More

The ice cream here is just perfect, like exactly what a gelato should be. Take yours to go and have a walk in the Giardini Margherita, like a true bolognese.

This place was recommended by a colleague as a must do on a short trip to Bologna. Finding our way there through the narrow streets was half the fun. When we arrived it was all lit up for Christmas and celebrating their 20th anniversary. It was worth the walk as the selection of beautiful exotic flavours made on-site was amazing.... More

If you like creamy ice creams you must visit this place. There is a wonderful selection of ice cresm flavours, some of which are very rich. Certainly the walk to the shop is worth it. Personally I prefer the less sickly ice creams found in Grom. However, if you are into fancy ice creams with interesting names, you must visit... More

When the lady who was the owner of the house that we have rented recommended strongly this place. I was curious to walk all the way for an ice cream. But i was wrong. It was worth it. I made the same trip and walked for more than a kilometer every night for the home made ice cream of La... More

If you love ice cream you must stop at "La Sorbetteria"! You can try one of the best homemade ice cream. The variety of tastes is not huge, they focous more on the superior quality of ingredients and raw materilas! My suggestions... dark chocolate and Michelangelo... fantastic!

I first went to Sorbetteria Castiglione over a month ago during my italian travels. I was very very impressed by the ice cream, particularly the flavours with the almond and hazelnut praline. I have travelled extensively in Italy during the past month and have tried numerous ice cream parlours. But Castiglione could not be beaten. I have happily just landed... More

As everybody says, it is wonderful. We went twice on a recent trip. Queue up at the left-hand counter to pay first. Different sizes cones and cups have different prices. We found a media cup at 2.80 Euros was plenty big enough. You get up to 3 flavours. Look at the menu or board to choose these, and then go... More
