Popular, and understandably so

I live around the corner from the Biassanot and have often found it difficult to get a table there without booking in advance, especially in tourist season — but this is a deserved tribute to the quality of their food and the excellence of their service. There is s wide choice of local dishes, you should try fresh pasta (different varieties), sea food. And, of course, a bottle of Italian wine. The restaurant is often crowded, this place is very popular, you should book a table. The service is friendly.

When traveling, we usually like to end the trip with an especially good meal. With recommendation from our concierge, we spent our last night at this Trattoria. It was the right choice The decor is quaint with red and white checkered table cloths and hankies over the light fixtures for ambiance. The tables are tightly spaced but make for an amusing... More

Went here after the great reviews on Yelp. I studied in Bologna quite a few years ago so it holds a special place in my heart and so was excited to come back on a trip and taste a few places I didn't previously. The food was fine, nothing crazy spectacular but very good (almost all food in Bologna is... More

Standard restaurant, nothing special. Portions were small. The pasta that i ordered was extremely salty. Also, the tables are very close to each other so there is no privacy. Average prices not cheap or expensive.

Terrible! Home of Italian food? Lasagne cold & over cooked, roast rabbit roulade not roasted as advertised, steak- even a steak knife couldn't cut it! After complaining we got told "the chef cut the wrong steak!" Unbelievable. When this finally arrived, it was so under cooked and inedible. . €85 wasted! Over priced, over rated. Avoid avoid avoid. McDonald's is... More

Authentic Bolognese cooking in a very pleasant place. It is recommended to make a reservation, however, we got a table without one anyway. The pasta with fresh truffles was excellent, the same goes for the salads. The "brasato" (meat braised in red wine) was, unfortunately, a bit dry. The staff is very attentive and we thoroughly enjoyed the evening

Recommended by our host and she was right, it is very good. Next to the canal, have a look through the little window next to the restaurant, not quite Venice, but interesting. The restaurant is fairly small, maybe in summer they have outdoor seating, but not in November even though the temperature was in the low 20's. We were there... More

The restaurant was recommended by my hotel for high quality food at prices that don't break the bank. I had just arrived in an unseasonably warm Bologna from the fresh mountain air of Brig. I was tired and not feeling hungry. But this restaurant soon put that right and I enjoyed 3 courses - tagliatelle al ragù then at waiters'... More

RSVP ahead as it's quite difficult to spot on the back streets of Bologna. There's a black cat on the lit sign. It's next to the canal but at night we couldn't see it, The food is delicious, from appetizers to dessert. The fried zucchini was amazing. Fresh pasta dishes were varied and all good. Nice wine list.
