if you are looking to taste Bologna

I was born in Bologna, but I live outside Italy. When I get home, Biassanot is the place where I like to go to taste Bologna ´s food. tortellini, tortelloni, lasagne... Absolutely very good, home made, and price is honest even if we are in the center of the city. I like this place! Biassanot means... read more

We found this place by accident as we were looking for another restaurant with our toddler, who was getting very cranky. The waiters were friendly and played and joked with our two-year-old. The food was excellent, especially the tortellini in broth and the mozzarella salad. The pasta is homemade and our son loved watching the woman in the back making... More

This is a small restaurant that only the locals go. It serves artisanal beer and delicious local food. We ate there trice during our holiday in Bologna.

We had dinnner and were all happy with the food. I had tortellini in broth and it was excellent. Hubby had the meat plate, wild boar and was impressed with the way they prepared, balanced , tasty but not overly salted. Daughter had the pink tortellini, very unique in taste. Unfortunately, the red wine was served too warm. Overall experienced... More

We ate here on a Friday evening having made a reservation in advance following a recommendation from a colleague. The staff are very friendly and the restaurant has a nice, quiet atmosphere attended almost exclusively by Italians. Despite this there is English translation on the menu and the staff speak enough English too. We had the traditional Bolognese sharer platter... More

Very good food and good service. We got at the restaurant early and so did not need a reservation. Highly recommended.

We did not have a reservation but I had read so many great things we thought we would try to get in. The staff was very gracious and told us there was ONE table available for exactly 90 minutes and we were welcome to it with those restrictions. We were promptly seated and quickly figured out or courses and ordered... More

Although this is the only tortellini we have eaten in Bologna, it is the best tortellini that we have eaten in the whole of Italy. (We have not tried tortellini from other restaurantes in Bologna) Tiny tortellini with substantial and tasty chicken meat. The broth was sweet and full of flavour, authentic of home cooking. Now the negative part. The... More

The food is dependably good. The staff are friendly. I would suggest a reservation is needed most evenings.

One of the most mentioned. Generally with good reason. Nice location (go for dinner). Lots of locals (make reservations). While waiting we asked for buffalo with tomatoes which is a must north of Rome. Then I had some excellent gnocchi verde with nuts. My wife went for home made tortellone with ricotta. As main courses my wife asked for Cinghiale... More
