Lunch in serene garden setting

This being a lovely, sunny September day, I went to have lunch at Il Cortegiano on their terrace in front of the cathedral, but all the little tables were taken. Just as I turned away, I noticed a sign 'giardino all'interno': I walked through the restaurant and found myself in a delightful tree... read more

It was a pleasant surprise this bar, we could get away from the cold of a winter evening. The bar is located right in front of the cathedral, and sitting by the window you can relax yourself just by watching the artistic beauty of the church. About the bars I've had a great relaxation time, good coffee and very nice... More

A great restaurant in the heart of Urbino with upscale food for an upscale crowd. You can eat casual in the bar or more formal in the dining room. The decor is relaxing and quiet with a decent amount of room. The tables are spaced well and the chairs are comfortable. The service was very courteous, prompt, and knowledgeable. The... More

Reviews on this site promised a good meal. A salmon carpaccio turned out to be slices of smoked salmon draped over a handful of chopped lettuce. Not salmon carpaccio. A bresaola similarly wasn't air-dried beef or veal. A filetto di manzo was both chewy and tasteless. Presentation on the plate is rough at best too. Service is decent, but based... More

Dined here with a large group of over fifty people. The food and service were exemplary, great pasta and a stunning dessert. The house wine was also very good. I wouldn't hesitate to dine here again in a personal capacity. Great value, well worth a visit.

We stumbled upon this restaurant as were exploring Urbino and were extremely happy with the food and the prices. We had an exceedingly yummy fresh white truffle tagliatelle for 17 Euros - in retrospect we should have had two for that price. Good luck finding that value elsewhere. All the food that we had was really of high quality and... More

We have chosen this restaurant because of the very positive feedback. But after a cold tagliata, a crescia so so, we are totally deceived. Not to be recommended.

We've been there with some friends and we tried piatto unico: vegetarian and degustation. Some additional crescia vegetarian and with salami. Overall only crescia was good but the rest not really worth. I'd really not reccomend this place!

We visited Il Cortegiano a couple of times when we wanted a light lunchtime meal after a morning in Urbino's Palazzo Ducale. The tables outside and in the bar are not the most inviting we've seen in Italy, but the friendly and efficient staff as well as tasty crisp piadine more than make up for appearances. It was only later... More

We looked over the Trip Advisor reviews for where to eat in Urbino and thought this sounded just our speed. We walked over early to make a reservation for dinner an hour later, but found we were only one of two couples to enjoy the delicious food and pleasant garden. A pity! The wine list is extensive and our waiter... More
