A little overholy expensive

The atmosphere was nice but the price was a little expensive. The food was good but the price was a little too much for a salad and an yogurt. If you can, bring food from outside.

Yes your in Italy and no you should't have pizza from a self service restaurant, but this is actually very good and it is a welcome treat after trying to get through the crowds at the Vatican. It does pizza and drinks and not much else but it is good value and fed the kids to keep them going till... More

We bought the "Italian Restaurant Lunch" with our entry tickets for an extra 18 euros each. We have never had a worse meal anywhere in Italy. The 'restaurant' turned out to be the cafeteria where we queued up to have some disgusting cold pasta dumped on our plates together with something described as meatballs. We have no idea what meat... Even as tired as you are, as hungry as you are, as desperate as you are, as whiney as your kids are, resist the temptation to take the easy way out and eat here. Leave the museum and eat elsewhere. You will waste your time and your money and be really angry at yourself for it. The staff has absolutely... More

Read negative reviews of the restaurant so was very wary of eating here. However the meal was far nicer than I expected. The food was good: the pasta dish, chicken and potatoes tasted good and was very filling. The staff were helpful. I was impressed.

Having spent six days sampling some of the most delicious authentic Italian fare from a variety of eateries in Rome, I had high hopes for the restaurant in the Vatican Museum (having pre-booked along with our tickets). Unfortunately this is not a restaurant experience. Pros It was only €18 each. For that I received a rice dish, chicken wrapped in... More

we had food at the cafe just before entering the sisitine chapel. quality of food is below par but when you are hungry you hardly notice. it isn't very expensive. espresso coffee 1 euro, sandwich 2.5 euro etc. but i would suggest to carry some snack along.

For a place with the resources of the vatican, this appalling, even shameful. The pasta is inedible, reminescent of the worst US high school cafeterias, and the servers are as indifferent. But since you have practically no other choice once you are in the vatican museum you are stuck. If you really must eat or drink here, its much better... More

The lines were incredibly long. Thank goodness all I wanted was bottled water. After a 20 minute wait in line I left. The entire experience at Vatican City was that way. I would definitely not consider it again.

Wow this place is really bad. I mean REALLY bad! The pasta was inedible as hard as that is too believe. I spent two weeks in Italy and the only bad meal was in Vatican City the entire time I was there. The sad part is that it was purchased as a package deal with tickets and advertised as an... More
