We went here after an exhausting tour of the Vatican, and were absolutely thrilled by it. The owner greeted us like long lost friends, and joked and chatted as we went to our table. The food was great, varied, and fantastic value: pretty much everything on the menu, was around the 7€ mark. The half-litre carafe of house red was... More

Me and my husband found this place tucked in one street behind the main row of restaurants across the entrance to the Sistine Chapel. It was still early for an Italian lunch, so relatively quiet. The owners were very very friendly. I have travelled across Italy many times, including Trentino, Veneto, Tuscany, Rome and Naples and genuinely this was the... More

After walking all day, we decided to find someplace close to the Vatican to eat lunch (a late one) and happen upon Ristorante dei Musei Vaticani. We couldn't find the entrance and they were laughing as we walked around the corner - but then came to find us and welcomed us in. We had lasagna, carbonara and a large water.... More

its located in the courtyard of the vatican and gives a good view of the place along with a refreshing drink and their lunch menu. Also it is reasonably priced

We made the mistake of not checking prices first, we just went to the counter and ordered 4 slices of pizza, a cheese sandwich, 2 bottles of water and half a bottle of wine....we had to eat them quick as we had just popped in for half an hour before our tour started, we nearly fell off our seat when... This restaraunt is literally next to the steps leading to the Vatican and main spot for tour meet ups, so prices are very expensive... 4 euros for half a glass of juice for example. We ordered breakfast - the toast was two pieces of bread with cheese, ham and mayo in (not at all toasted) the croissant was hard and... More

We stopped off at this cafeteria on our tour of the Vatican. It was a warm day and we were pretty exhausted after some hours of walking. We got an iced coffee which was good. The only problem was there is no seating in this place. A seat would have been so welcome. We had a filled flat bread which... More

I had very high hopes for Ristorante die Musei Vaticani based on the high trip advisor reviews. It was such a disappointment. The menu had very limited options. The pizzas looked and tasted like frozen pizza. The service was poor. When I asked for recommendations, the wait staff shrugged and curtly told me they are all good and I should... More

I had read prior to going to Italy, not to eat near the Vatican and this restaurant proved that tip to be right. I knew we should have looked for something down the block but with 2 complaining kids and sore feet after the long tour thru the Vatican, we just couldn't bear to take another step. The Good- The... I went here with a month in advance reservation for 40 hungry students and they did a decent job in having everything ready. It's a great option if you are coming straight out from the Museum, because it's just so close to the exit of the Museum. The food is average, but not disappointing.
