We visited this restaurant following a top from our limo driver. It was fully booked on the first evening and so we booked for the following night. No menu was available in English and we were worried about struggling trough but we didn't need to be. Then entered the fantastic Tony, grey haired with glasses who would remind you of... More

It's always a pleasure to share dinner with friend. It is even a moment of joy when it comes to spice it with food that tasty. The meat is delicious and the wine suggested has match the food perfectly. Just a little expensive, but definitely worth it!

It's the place where I love to dine when I comeback in my hometown Rome. The place is nice and the food is good, but you go there for the people since it's located in the more wealthy neighborhood of Rome:Parioli!!A must

Close to our hotel was the reason for our 1st visit. This is not a tourist venue, but an Italian restaurant, run by Italians for Italians. We were the only foreigners there and had the most fantastic experience. We were very well looked after by Tony and the food and wine were just perfect. We chose to eat there on... More

We were dining 4 night in a row in Rome and we were following the recommendations given by local friends. Il Caminetto outscored all other recommended restaurants in terms of service, food quality and presentation. None of the rest could even compare to this restaurant. The house wine was Nobile de Montepulciano and it was one of the best that... More

slightly away from the busy and crowded Rome, experiment this excellent restaurant, full of small rooms linked by corridors. You'll be served very good traditional food by nice and efficient waiters!

Great spot. Not in the center of town, but worth the short cab trip. Full of locals, no tourists at all. Fantastic extensive menu. It was not badly priced either. We were recomended a bottle of red by the waiter that was only 20 Euros and was excellent. Booking essential on the weekends.

We went here on the recommendation of a local we met on the bus and were not disappointed. We were glad to have booked in advance tho as it is obviously a favourite with locals and they were turning people away later in the evening. There was no menu in English & the waiter had limited English but the service... More

The service was awful. We received a very frost reception from a surly man who we seemed to upset by arriving. He showed us to a table a left us there for about 15 mins with no drink or menu. He the came over and said "English, German, French" and offered up translated menus. The atmosphere was not pleasant. The... More
