We had lunch here on our first day and it was really nice. The location is very good and the the service also good. We went back here for dinner on our last night and it wasn't good at all. We ordered frozen margaritas - which were not cheap - and they weren't frozen! We had several attempts at... read more

Long wait. Not cheap. Not particularly good food or drinks.I didn't think there were good vegetarian options. Quite pleasant surroundings and accessible from the National Gallery of Modern and Contemporary Art.

Having discovered long ago on trips to Italy that museum cafes are rarely disappointing, we thought that Caffe delle Arti was well worth a visit. The fact that we were staying only 5mins walking distance away meant that we actually ate there more than once. The setting is divine and a good proportion of other diners are local Italians who... Good lunch. Stylish place. We had a modest lunch indoors in stylish surroundings. Excellent service. Well priced. Watching other diners enjoying a more sumptuous repast, it was easy to see that the quality was good.

First we went there just to have an "aperitivo" after the exhibition on the art gallery beside. The menu was varied and the atmosphere was AMAZINGLY. So we decided to return for dinner and it was fantastic. We had a great time, with delicious food, good wine and less than 100 euros for two.

This is actually one my most favourite places in Rome, especially in the morning when it is not very busy (it never feels crowded to me because the terrace is huge). After a week of hard tourist working, it really is a treat to enjoy a caffe Americano and a sandwhich, while you're relaxing on a couch and a soft... More

We tried to have lunch here yesterday. We entered through the museum and took a seat outside on the terrace. The young waitress glared at us before going to attend to some Italian customers. She then came over to our table, turned her back to us and went off to see to someone else. She didn't acknowledge our presence once.... More

We have often had lunch on the terrace - a lovely quiet setting far from the madding crowd. Last night my wife and I had my birthday dinner there. Few people - the restaurant only opened for dinner a couple of days ago. But the service by the lovely and simpatico Pietro was superb, the food as original and very... More

I don't know if you can eat there without a ticket to the museum. After hours standing up visiting the Galleria Borghese, the Villa Borghese park, the zoo, and the Galleria of Arte Moderno, it was very pleasant to sit down in a place different from the typical tourist cafes. The service was excellent and friendly. The food was good,... More

In a great setting by the Modern Art museum and not so busy as the cafes around other sites. Worth a small detour for lunch in the Borgehese park even if you are not going to the museum.

Staying in Parioli

Neighborhood Profile
Parioli
Young and well-to-do families are the street flavor of Parioli. A new kind of Rome, this area is centuries away from the Renaissance with its pockets of 1930s palaces, tony boutiques, open-air markets and plenty of coffee shops. Parioli was built as an enclave for last century’s haute bourgeois and still represents as such in 21st century Rome. Need a break? The area has several great sporting clubs known for tennis and riding, a wonderful modern art museum, easy access to the zoo (Europe’s oldest), and is nestled around Rome’s very best parks including Villa Borghese, Villa Ada and Villa Glori.
