Great setting and good quality food/service

We have often had lunch on the terrace - a lovely quiet setting far from the madding crowd. Last night my wife and I had my birthday dinner there. I don't know if you can eat there without a ticket to the museum. After hours standing up visiting the Galleria Borghese, the Villa Borghese park, the zoo, and the Galleria of Arte Moderno, it was very pleasant to sit down in a place different from the typical tourist cafes. The service was excellent and friendly. The food was good,... More

In a great setting by the Modern Art museum and not so busy as the cafes around other sites. Worth a small detour for lunch in the Borgehese park even if you are not going to the museum.

Within GNAM, the Galleria Nazionale d'Arte Moderna, is this pleasant little cafe. There's a crisp white interior seating area and an outside space for nice weather. Food is reasonably priced, and even cheaper taken standing at the bar (for example, a glass of prosecco was 3 euros at the bar, 6 euros sitting at a table). Light snacks available.

Taking a walk around Villa Borghese I visited the Museum of Modern Art, and then decided to have a coffee. There is a restaurant in the gallery called Caffe delle Arti and it is accessible from within the Art Gallery or directly from a street running along the side of the gallery. It was full of Italians having lunch. I... More

The restaurant is divided in two parts _ the chick restaurant and café with more simple menue. It has a beautiful location – on the terrace of the Galleria Nationale d’Arte Moderna, you can relax here enjoying son and a nice view. We went there to drink café, but decided to have a lunch - the menu looked good, the... More

It's a very nice restaurant with a very small menu. There are more things to drink than eat. The ham and cheese panini was very good. I ordered a cold coffee thinking it would be with ice and milk but no. I ended up ordering an amazing café latte. They ended up bringing it only at the end of the... More

We had a lunch here, quite simple with just panini and white wine, but everything was well done and tasty, with a glass of crisp white wine. It wasn't over priced either, the meal for two coming to 21 Euro. You can choose to sit inside the restaurant, at the bar, on an internal terrace, or a terrace overlooking the... More

My mother and I had just finished exploring the Borghese Gallery and we were on our way to Villa Giulia when we thought that it would be a good idea to find somewhere to eat if we were going to spend another 3 or more hours walking around, so we figured that the Galleria Nazionale D'Arte Moderna would have a... Staying in Parioli

Neighborhood Profile
Parioli
Young and well-to-do families are the street flavor of Parioli. A new kind of Rome, this area is centuries away from the Renaissance with its pockets of 1930s palaces, tony boutiques, open-air markets and plenty of coffee shops. Parioli was built as an enclave for last century’s haute bourgeois and still represents as such in 21st century Rome. Need a break? The area has several great sporting clubs known for tennis and riding, a wonderful modern art museum, easy access to the zoo (Europe’s oldest), and is nestled around Rome’s very best parks including Villa Borghese, Villa Ada and Villa Glori.
