We have been enjoying Sor'Eva for many years. In July 2014 I was guiding a group of 18 Americans in Rome and thought that Sor'Eva would be perfect for us. Called ahead for a reservation and discussed a menu. Following a visit to Rome's "bad-boy", the Vatican Museum, we all walked over to Sor'Eva. We were pretty spent by the... More

We were out walking in to find the Garibaldi Monument and the great views of the city. We started walking back and the rain started coming and it was deluge and we were not sure where we were. We found a taxi but she didn't cross the river so the 1st place that came to mind was sor'eva! It was... More

After an exhausting day of sight seeing with our three kids, and then a trip to the emergency room, we stumbled upon this place. Not only did we have fantastic food (spaghetti carbonara and caccia pepe), but we had the best waiter in the world, Franco, who treated us like family, even through the total language barrier. I would go... More

I don't know if they just have it in for English speaking patrons but I was appalled at this establishment. After I placed my order the waiter placed a bowl of bread on my table. I don't normal eat bread before a meal because I get too full then and thank goodness I didn't! I heard the couple next to... More

If you are the Gianicolo and happen to walk down the Passeggiate di Gianicolo past the statue of Anita Garibaldi, you will find yourself in Trastevere near the Ponte Amadeo d'Aosta. Along the west bank of the river is a gem of a restaurant, Sor'Eva, a welcome sight after the long walk. It is one of the few places in... More

The staff at Palazzo Cardinal Cesi recommended this little eatery, and even made the reservation for us. A short walk (no more than 10 minutes) away from the hotel and St Peter's Square, we were made to feel very welcome. The food was typically Italian, and was less ‘touristy’ than many others in the vicinity. We had scaloppine, with sides... More

I have visiting this restaurant for the past 10 years, a very nice place, close to the Vatican, in front of the Trastevere. Nice place to have a dinner, good pasta and service.

Let's first say that the food is quite good especially the different types of pasta but in my opinion all the rest is not so excellent. Perhaps it was our unlucky day but some waiters had a rude comedy, the glasses were dirty, the tablecloths were smelly and above all pay attention to the price of the bread that is... More

I have been to Rome several times in the past 20 years...we always ate at least one meal at Sor'eva. Prior to this visit always wonderful. However, it has gone down hill....the pasta carbonara was dry the other dishes tasteless...and the price...the highest we paid on this trip to Italy....avoid it...unless it returns to it's former status!

A fast service for good and convenient local food. I wish Trip advisor had something between 'very good' and 'average' as this is where Sor'Eva would find itself in my book at a solid 'good'. If you're looking for something reasonably priced near your hotel give it a go and have the tiramisu!
