good value and genuine

Service from lovely, respectful Italian waiter. Without telling him, he knew our children were sharing a pizza and it appeared cut in half on separate plates - so insightful. Carbonara egg was a bit scrambled but maybe that is how it is done in Rome. Pizza is thin Roman type. We would go back.

We ate at Sor'eva our first night in Rome because it was close to our apartment. The food and the service were very good. We ate there 2 out of our 3 nightsw here.

After our tour of the Vatican, we walked around a bit and discovered this great restaurant for lunch. The service and hospitality were great. We had ravioli, lasagna and the antipasto with fresh figs , melon and prosciutto was the best!

The staff were polite but the food was not up to much. Scrambled egg carbonara even the pizza did not taste good. On the plus side it was not expensive.

Went here one evening, because it was convenient and fairly close to where we stayed in Rome. We had looked through the windows some other nights and thought it to be cosy. We entered and the immediate feeling was that we were more in the way than welcome. We ordered the food which was 2 times Spaghetti Carbonara, a Pizza... More

Just returned from Sor Eva on our second night in Rome and only our second time in Italy. We had a few recommendations from Hotel Cardinal Ceci . First night we went to La Vittoria and that was good so we thought we would try a different restaurant. We went to Sor'eva , they seemed to be quite busy with... More

It's never pleasant to leave a restaurant unhappy after one has eaten well. We had 2 beers, both ordered a pizza. Mine arrived with HALF BOILED egg on top that was not in the description of a Capriossa pizza.... I did not eat it, just worked around it. The crusts were nice& thin& flame cooked! Terrific. We did not eat... More

Staying in Trastevere

Neighborhood Profile
Trastevere
Trastevere ("beyond the Tiber") is like a faded postcard, a little worn around the edges but still charming. With its wide-open piazzas, meandering streets, weathered Renaissance buildings, and overgrown personality, it's become an irresistible mecca for visitors. Trastevere is an enclave of entertainment - a rotating set of street performers entertains almost every night, and unforgettable eateries and bars pepper its piazzas and side streets. For a trip to the past, visit the southern and western flanks of Trastevere for pockets of yesteryear, less traversed areas with a residual 1960s and 70s Roman vibe.
