wonderful place

We were in fontana di Trevi and we looked for a place to eat when we saw this restaurant. It is small and quite crowed but it seems less touristic than others in the area. Also, inside there were many italian families,so we approached. The girl outside was very polite and friendly. She gave us chairs... read more

One of the many restaurants that have someone outside trying to entice you to come in. The young lady was very nice and we were a jet lagged family looking for our first meal in Rome. Small tables/seating area, but the staff was friendly. They have a "bread" charge (coperto), but no service charge. Pizza was good and the service... More

We were tired after a long day of trekking in Rome, and just happened upon this spot. It was wonderful. We had pizza, grilled vegetables, and salad, which were all excellent. I would highly recommend it for anyone seeking family style Italian. The family which runs it were wonderful people.

Agrodolce is a tiny restaurant in a small winding alley near the Trevi Fountain (if you're looking at the Trevi, take the alleyway at 10 o'clock). When we happened upon it, we were exhausted after a long day of walking through Villa Borghese and the Piazzo del Popolo. There was a little display of freshly made pasta outside. The doorway... This is the best dinner I had for the past 2 days! Highly recommended, the beef stake was awesome! Their evening special was a great deal as well. Even the desert was good!

Short stroll from the bustle of Trevi fountain. Great service. Family style. Definitely worth a higher rating. Prices do not seem expensive. $13 Euro for pizza $6 for a great pour of wine.

"You can see your food being cooked" as the kitchen is in the view of the seating area. Almost true, but you can walk and see what is going on with your food. And the food was very nice. Not your run of the mill pizza, soup to die for and a good desert to finish with.

This is a precious little restaurant near Fontana di Trevi. The inside is gorgeous, modern, absolutely different from anything weve seen in Rome. We ate the menu (Bruschetta+Pasta+chocolate gateau), great food in a great place for great value: 16 euros. The Amatriciana was delicious, and the Bruschetta was the best ive ever had.

Staying in Trevi

Neighborhood Profile
Trevi
A non-stop photo and souvenir opportunity, Trevi is all about action. From early morning through the wee hours, the piazza surrounding Trevi Fountain hosts a never-ending flow of tourists hoping to make a wish or take a selfie. Clever restaurants, charming gelaterias, uncanny bars, kitsch shops, and a range of hotels make up the local landscape. Beneath the bustle are the remains of an ancient neighborhood that you can visit by heading over to a repertoire cinema and asking for a peek underground. There is something for everyone, but if peace and quiet are what you seek, plan to visit in the early morning hours.
