Description: Giving always attention to meet the changing course of the latest trends...
Giving always attention to meet the changing course of the latest trends, the restaurant has the culinary agility to anchor the current fashion to the heritage of the rules and quality of the food products, maintaining the delicate equilibrium between discretion and popularity. In this way, we assure our guests to be present, without appearing. The original customs officer and the modern host, preserving the historic mission of the place, have been followed by a family known as connoisseurs of taste: the perfection of the proposed cuisine, offered in an ambiance enhanced by the beauty of the great artworks and the meticulous attention for each guest, so to guarantee an exclusive atmosphere combined with the warmth of a comforting familiarity. Our guest, no matter from which movie set arrives, or for how long hasn’t come, is always welcomed with a smile, a shake of hand, a delicious meal accompanied by an excellent wine and with the warmth of the art surrounding this fascinating angle of Rome. We know well that what the body nurtures is not foreign to the soul.

This is a very good restaurant for tourists. The scheduling, the seating, the atmosphere and the food are all geared for tourists, but so cleverly disguised as an authentic Italian experience. From the regional appetizer served in a wooden briefcase, to the climate controlled outdoor seating. Even if you are one can't stand "touristy" things, eating here will be one... More

What an enjoyable evening we spent at Antica Pesa. Starting with the "around Rome" appetizer box through the spaghetti carbonara and veal dish to the dark chocolate dessert, we were not disappointed. Delicious authentic Italian food with impeccable service. Quaint and romantic dining under the stars, we were very pleased with the whole experience.

Loved the dinner. It was beautiful outside, they opened the roof and we ate under the moonlight. Very romantic. Great service and compared to some other cities, I would even consider this cheap. Glad we split the pasta portion, would not have had room for dessert otherwise. Also, we dined at 7:30 because we were hungry from walking all day,... More

Alessia from Antica Pesa treated us as if we were celebrities. She was The most gracious restaurant manager I have ever encountered. The restaurant atmosphere and food were most memorable. I will never forget our trip to Rome and the most hospitable service I have ever encountered. She is a rose in the garden of this beautiful restaurant. Our sommelier... More

If you don't want to meet americans in Rome, probably you should change the season to visit our city !! The romans, in this period, are used to go to the seaside especially during the weekend…. Anyway, we remember perfectly you; it's impossible to forget that you enter in our restaurant with a angry face and you exit with an... More

Beautiful courtyard setting and very thick wine BOOK. Ordered very expensive bottle that a bit corked. Sommelier disagreed and said was fine. Food was average, service was hot and cold. As this was recommended by Hotel Eden, expected better.

After visiting this little gem in a business trip last year I've only just managed to find out the card and hope to return in September this year! Fantastic food, drink and service!

Very average traditional roman food. 2 inch thick wine list may look impressive, but the selections for moderately priced wines (50-70 euro) could be listed on about a third of a page. The outside seating is nice and the service is good. I would not recommend this place. It's also very expensive.

Staying in Trastevere

Neighborhood Profile
Trastevere
Trastevere ("beyond the Tiber") is like a faded postcard, a little worn around the edges but still charming. With its wide-open piazzas, meandering streets, weathered Renaissance buildings, and overgrown personality, it's become an irresistible mecca for visitors. Trastevere is an enclave of entertainment - a rotating set of street performers entertains almost every night, and unforgettable eateries and bars pepper its piazzas and side streets. For a trip to the past, visit the southern and western flanks of Trastevere for pockets of yesteryear, less traversed areas with a residual 1960s and 70s Roman vibe.
