Description: Giving always attention to meet the changing course of the latest trends, the restaurant has the culinary agility to anchor the current fashion to the heritage of the rules and quality of the food products, maintaining the delicate equilibrium between discretion and popularity. In this way, we assure our guests to be present, without appearing. The original customs officer and the modern host, preserving the historic mission of the place, have been followed by a family known as connoisseurs of taste: the perfection of the proposed cuisine, offered in an ambiance enhanced by the beauty of the great artworks and the meticulous attention for each guest, so to guarantee an exclusive atmosphere combined with the warmth of a comforting familiarity. Our guest, no matter from which movie set arrives, or for how long hasn’t come, is always welcomed with a smile, a shake of hand, a delicious meal accompanied by an excellent wine and with the warmth of the art surrounding this fascinating angle of Rome. We know well that what the body nurtures is not foreign to the soul.

You must eat in the garden! Service and food were superb. Special night under the Roman stars. Get the appetizers in the suitcase! All pastas were amazing

My wife and I went to Antica Pesa with our 2 12 year old grandsons, both named Jack, on the recommendation of a family member who I will refer to as Jack's "Uncle Scott." We had heard that the restaurant was one of Rome's best from the hotel's concierge and one of our guides, and that it was also a... More

I had made a reservation several weeks ago. I've got there early, was the first customer in the place and they gave us a corridor table. I asked for something better and the waiter was very ironic and rude and said all the good ones were reserved 3 months ago. We decided to stay... Then came the weird part. Since... More

It’s a special place because you can taste traditional Roman food in a cool environment, it’s difficult to explain, but you can have a traditional dish with a service that is for a Michelin restaurant. You can enjoy an amazing court where you can eat under the stars. The wine list is well assorted (of course is overpriced).

Antica Pesa never disappoints! Antica Pesa is a Roman institution and deservedly so. It's located in Trastevere and during the summer months the courtyard is a must! You will be treated to a most authentic Italian setting with apartment windows overlooking and laundry hanging overhead, coupled the best atmosphere, food and service. Sadly, many come here only because it's a... More

Stunning food, amazing service from knowledgeable staff, couldn't recommend more. I suspect the only reason there is not a 5 star rating on this site is caused by the ratings of ignorant Americans who couldn't find a cheese burger on the menu!

We went here not knowing a thing about it, based on a recommendation by our concierge. We had a great evening. We were the first diners to arrive not realizing there was a World Cup soccer game with Italy going on at the time. Yet the waiter was friendly and gracious and happily chatted with us despite the fact he... More

My husband and I had dinner at this restaurant on May 29, 2014. We chose it simply because it was close to our hotel in via Garibaldi, not knowing that it was "famous." The food was terrible. First, the flat bread in the breadbasket was stale. My veal was dry (though my husband's lamb chops were succulent and tasty). Our... More

Away from the hustle and bustle of Trastevere you find Antica Pesa. Sit outside in the back and enjoy classic Roman dishes! Their sister restaurant in Brooklyn is also quite good when you can't make it to Rome!

This place is amazing... The food and the service are just perfect! You need to reserve outside on the terrace. It's just beautiful. So romantic... We were absolutely charmed by this place. That whole area (trastevere) is full of amazing restaurants and pubs. If you go at night to just walk by, you will see all the cool young locals... More
