Amazing steak

Beautifully presented and great tasting steak. In fact it's the best steak I've had in a long time. I can also recommend the tiramisu for desert. The staff were very friendly and attentive.

It is a pricy restaurant but the food was worth every euro! You need to make a reservation in advance. The food was delicious, the place is beautiful, the staff super nice. Strongly recommended.

I looked up restaurants near Piazza del Popolo and Villa Borghese park and this resaurants came highly recommended on Tripadvisor . We arrived there around 2:55 pm and they were kind enough to take us in . The staff is very friendly and helpfull and the food was very good . Actually were so happy with this restaurant that we... We were staying on Via Margutta and after a long day of sight seeing we wanted something close to our hotel and Babette is one of the hidden gems on our street. Although the front of the restaurant looks small, they have quite a large patio for outdoor dining. We were able to get a table without reservation because we... More

Our group enjoyed a nice leisurely dinner at Babette. The service is good and the food is excellent. I had Veal Milanese, wonderfully seasoned and with bone-in. Others had baked snapper, rib-eye, or pasta. One hint... The pasta dishes are full entrees even though listed as course two. I finished with the dark chocolate cake with warm center - delightful... Meeting old friends, no pre-booking, just turned up relatively early (8pmish) - table for 4 found in the gorgeous courtyard at the back... on requesting something local to drink, waiter chose a local vino rosso, (Trulli? I really should have remembered!), gorgeous and such value at 14 Euro - only highlighted because of the extensive range (up to €600). 2... More

We dined here for dinner twice during our stay in Rome. First time was with our two children and then we returned with some friends. Service was excellent on both occasions and food was delicious. We didnt book ahead and sat both inside and in the courtyard. The restuarant has a great atmosphere and you feel very welcome. Chicken, pasta... More

My husband liked his veal but I was not impressed with red snapper . We looked on other reviews & gave it a try . Most complaints was about service which we found fine . The atmosphere was really quaint on the courtyard ! I would not have liked dining inside . It was like they were a French restaurant... More

We had an excellent lunch here two years ago. Knew the buffet was gone; however, did not expect the poor food and service we received. The veal was overcooked shoe leather. They even messed up plain pasta and tomato sauce for the kid. I did not even try my lunch because the presentation was so bad. Wife eat but did... More

Can be touristy, but really worth visiting and talking to the staff who will look after you very well indeed and along with good food and wine at not expensive prices, a recipe for a good evening

Staying in Campo Marzio

Neighborhood Profile
Campo Marzio
From its original role as ancient army training fields to its present-day identity as one of the city’s most desirable neighborhoods, the Campo Marzio is the best place to get lost in Rome. Gorgeous Renaissance and Baroque palazzos line the streets, and are filled with enticing boutiques and food shops. By day, Rome’s best-dressed denizens criss-cross its streets in a fashionable parade of errands, occasionally pausing to look fabulous in gorgeous piazzas like San Lorenzo in Lucina. Campo Marzio can be a bit of a sleeper after aperitivi hour (9pm), so visit by day and experience the pulse of daytime Rome.
