Went on a weekend trip to Rome and ended up eating dinner at Babette the evening we arrived based on recommendations from TripAdvisor. We were most plecently surprised by the friendliness and good service from the staff and the food was also very good. During the following two days we ate lunch and dinner at other restaurants, although we got... More

I've been to this restaurant over the years and the food is always reliably good. On warmer months, the courtyard with the fountain in the middle is a pleasant place to dine in. They also have a reasonably-priced brunch on Sundays that's worth going to.

We have been coming to this restaurant for brunch on sundays ( and the odd saturday) for years. Even though the price has increased a few euro and the buffet table is not as lavish as it used to be it is still just about the best value in Rome which is why , most days, the majority of people... I had a very good lunch on a sunny sunday in november... Food was perfect... amazing pasta, extraordinary meat... they change the menu very often! Sweets were just delicious! Suggested for couples, families and groups (is very big, but warm atmosphere)!

Four star service and location, three star food, given the steep prices. We received a warm welcome and the waiting staff were very friendly and the service prompt. The menu looked great but as self-confessed foodies, the dishes seemed rather bland and disappointing for the price. The general feel was that the place had more style than substance, and there... Our hotel recommended the reataurant. They were right to do so. The food was fantastic, and the staff were excellent. Our waiter was happy to recommend sensibly priced wines to us, and the whole place has a great atmosphere.

Very good ambiance in the cosy courtyard. Very good and attentive service. Very good dishes in their whole. The "Babette Salad" has a less balanced taste maybe because the fois gras was in a slice instead of in small dices as before. The "Grilled Tagliata" was slightly rubbery but well cooked anyway. A good restaurant in a good location.

We (my mum and I) met up with three Italian friends who had made the booking for this restaurant. We sat in the beautiful courtyard which is very private and away from the street by candlelight giving the evening a wonderful atmosphere. We all had main courses - I had the pasta with zucchini & pistachio pesto which was an... More

Following recommendations from both our guide and the hotel, we dined at Babette on my wife's birthday, which coincided with a recent passage through Rome. The food was excellent, more than meeting our expectations. However, we were puzzled by the nearly hostile behavior of the woman who handled our table most of the time (other staff were very friendly). Given... More

i have been this place before and their outdoor courtyard is really nice in the middle of Rome, especially on a sunny day. The indoor is typical italian trattoria with nothing special about it. in the past they used to offer during lunch time buffet and ala carte choice, however now they offer only buffet, there is choice of pasta...
