Another local & fantastic restaurant recommended through a friend. We made a reservation fortunately because place is on small side. Some of the reviews regarding this restaurant really make me laugh. #1, no they are not big fans of tourists. If you're walking in with your fanny pack and map out be prepared to be turned away. Also, just because... More

Was excited to be eating here based on the glowing reviews on TA..arrived early in the evening due to knowing Romans will flood the place late and were promptly seated outside where there were only a couple other people sitting. Ordered the cacio e pepe for dinner..and the waiter brought me a carbonara which i realized after taking a bite...When... More

My husband and I always make a point to eat at this Trastevere gem every time we're in Rome. The neighborhood is adorable, the experience authentic and the food is amazing. They have the best carbonara in the city. They also have an amazing artichoke ravioli. Their meat dishes are delicious as well. And if you like tripe, my dad... More

The food and service was great and pretty reasonably priced. It is slightly way from the main tourist trails so you are rubbing shoulders with locals which is reassuring for the quality and authenticity.

I can't begin to tell this story without a smile on my face as I'm writing. We had reservations and arrived right on time. Yes, we stood there without any acknowledgement of our presence by anyone. There was another couple standing there in front of us and clearly the same was true for them. After 10 minutes the other couple... More

I have been here a couple of times now and the food is very good, especially the typical Roman dishes like Carbonara and Cacio & Pepe, but also the Pasta with a nut pesto is higly recommended. A lot to eat so I recommend to come with an empty stomach! A highly recommend this place if you want to try... More

My wife and I were excited to dine here based on my family's recommendation. They said they make some of the best carbonara pasta around. We decided to walk over there last Wednesday afternoon for lunch. Is was around 3pm. An older gentleman who I assume was the owner said they were closed and reopened at 6pm. I saw 2... More

This was recommended by our host as a traditional Roman family tratoria for its Carbonara. It was in a quaint location tucked in a quiet street in Trastevere. Most of the lunch diners were locals. Although no one spoke English we managed to understand each other upon ordering as the menu has an English translation. We had the best Carbonara... More
