I really liked this place. We walked by because we were renting segways nearby. They were about to close because it was almost 3 pm, but they were very friendly and let us to come in. Pasta was delicious! (with Porcini mushroms) and gnocchis Sorrentina as well. Try the Tiramisu for dessert...yumi! Very friendly staff :)

We headed to Osteria del Pegno after searching trip advisor for somewhere to eat close to Piazza Navona and we weren't disappointed! The restaurant felt like a lovely little local, a refreshing change to all the touristy spots a few streets away around the piazza. It has a lovely atmosphere and a real character of it's own - the walls... More

This restaurant came recommended, and we weren't disappointed! We enjoyed everything we ate (especially the porcini pasta) and it was the best meal we had in Rome. There's also a nice bar just down the road for a pre-dinner drink - perfect! We'd definitely go back if we return to Rome.

No question...eat here. Great food and service.can sit outside or just inside the door to people watch. If it is your birthday be sure to let them know ahead of time! Call for reservations a must. Set aside extra time to find it in the warren of street back there.

Very traditional Italian restaurant down a secluded alley - can be difficult to find! Service was very good and the food very good - would have been excellent had the mozzarella not been icy cold, but otherwise first rate. We ate here twice during our one week stay in Rome

This restaurant does everything right. The setting is lovely, especially if the weather is good, and the doors and windows are open. Our second dinner there, we actually sat in a door opening onto the tiny street, where we could enjoy the outdoors, but still be part of the cozy interior. We ate here twice on our most recent visit... More
