We really enjoyed our carbonara and saltimbocca at Osteria del Pegno. It is fairly centrally located -- not too far from Navona. Fellow clientele were probably mostly tourists, but this didn't feel like a tourist trap. Food was authentic and atmosphere was lively. The restaurant brings out free limoncello towards the end -- a nice touch.

Amazing food from the bread balls to the limoncello, such an excellent restaurant tucked away in a side street. Just got back from dinner at this restaurant and had to write a review - found the restaurant through a recommendation and it didn't disappoint. Service was excellent with all the added extras (bread, limoncello, sweet pastry) and the food was... More

Great place to try when in Rome. Went there for the first time by chance and returned the next day. The food is delicious, the place is cosy, really close to Piazza Navona and the staff very friendly.

we went here due to good reviews and it's just at the back of our hotel. We were surprised by how good the food was and the service was excellent. Best restaurant we visited while we were in Rome. Thumbs up for the owner and the crew who did a wonderful job. We'll surely come back.

A cosy and friendly restaurant along the small streets in Rome. Me and my siter came without any expectations and got amazing pizzas at this restaurant. The salame pizza was a favourite and we will definetly go back here next time when we're visiting Rome. RECOMMENDATION!

While visiting Italy (Rome) friends suggested Osteria Del Pegno to go to. My wife and I went. Talk about 1 of my best homemade Italian meals ever!! The spaghetti carbanaro is fantastic. We did go to another eatery while there due to Osteria being booked for the evening the 1st night. Needless to say we booked the next 3 nights... More

We found out about this place in TripAdvisor. The food was very good and fresh. It is reasonably priced and has a great selection of pastas, meat dishes, salads and antipasti. I followed someone's recommendation and ordered the zucchini salad. It could not have been fresher! Garnished with pine nuts and parmigiano cheese. Pastas were succulent too. Highly recommended.
