Not in the Guidebooks

Not far from Piazza Navona, but tucked away so it's not overrun with tourists. This means great food at great prices. 5 of us split an appetizer, each had a prima that was plenty to fill us up, with a couple 1/4 of wine and a couple bottles of water and the bill was 110 euros. The owner stops... read more

Just a few a streets away from the busy side of Rome. This restaurant is a little piece of heaven. Great local dishes in a quiet but still central place.

I've eaten here 5 times and always have a great meal. The staff are nice and the waiters speak English so they can help you find the greatest dishes. Our last day in Rome we met up with a couple we had met at our other favorite restaurant (Osteria del Moro da Tony) and we shared some delicious artichokes and... More

On our way to Piazza Navona we accidentally walked past this restaurant and took a look on the menu. The pizzas were reasonably priced and after seeing many stickers giving a hint of the quality, we decided to have lunch here. First of all, the service was wonderful! A young man told us about their menu and recommended some dishes... More

We literally stumbled across this gem when wandering the back streets of Rome looking for a suitable venue to celebrate a 50th birthday. The menu looked good and we enquired about a table only to find it was nearly fully booked- only one small table left near the door. Well fully booked sounded like an endorsement to us so we... We saw the Rainbow Flag on the front door and stopped in before our Segway tour. What a wonderful little place, the food was amazing and the service was super friendly! It's a bit hidden but when you find it you will feel like you've enjoyed one of Rome's hidden gems!

this place is worth a walk if you are in the neighbourhood. We found it by accident and were immediately hit by the pleasant atmosphere and the customer oriented service. We only ordered starters for lunch (yes, tipically Dutch), water and an affordable Nebiolo. Ham, vegetables, artichaud, all very tasteful. Highly recommended. Be aware that at dinner time the place... More

We have been here several times and it is always a nice experience. Great pasta and the housewine is of good quality. You have to make a reservation, most evening they are fully booked. Reasonably priced and you will have a glass of limoncello on the house coming with your bill. The only issue here is, that you often have... More

Such a perfect, cozy, delicious restaurant. We had the fortune ( or maybe misfortune because we can't eat here anymore!) of finding this gem on our last day in Rome. We were in Rome for a week and this is by far the best restaurant we ate in. Friendly staff, good wine, overall excellence. You know something is good when... More

10 years ago we came across a restaurant with a signboard featuring something that sounded good. We somehow found our way back that evening for a fantastic meal with a fantastic staff. It's a small place located in an alley. Armed with fuzzy and romantic memories we search for it 10 years later. We believe we find the alley but... More
