The restaurant is nice and cosy and has a mix of locals and tourists. Service was also good and the waitresses were friendly without being intrusive. They started us off with a basket of bread which was very good. And my friends and I all had different starters and pastas, which were all good - everyone couldn't decide if they... More

This restaurant is over crowded: food is good and the service is perfect. Nice warm environment, very friendly staff. Food was nice: octopus very tender and the pasta dishes well done. Homemade pasta like should be in Italy. Recommended even if a little bit expensive.

Every time we travel to Rome or even talk about Rome we look back on this place with great memories. We tell anyone and everyone to go there when in Rome. Food is great, the area is great the owner is a funny bugger and the overall experience is something you will remember. It's away from all of the tourists... More

Just back from 3 days in Rome. To be honest overall we weren't blown away by the standard of food we ate. Perhaps inevitable in such a tourist-mecca. By comparison the lunch my wife and I had yesterday at Osteria di Pegno was fanatastic- the best meal we ate in Rome by a million miles. The restaurant is small and... More

We were recommended to this restaurant by the owner of our rental. it was delicious.appetizer of marinated salmon, first course of seafood fettucine, second course of veal and meatballs. Topped off with tiaramisu. Very good. We had a disappointing dining experience the night prior and this made up for it. The server was very patient with us as we questioned... More

This is a BEAUTIFUL restaurant. We were so happy to discover it through TripAdvisor. Charming paintings and dim lights inside. Small and tucked away from the busy touristy streets down the block. Incredible service by people that cared about our dining experience. We called and made a reservation for the same evening. We were there in a company of 4... More

You will go to Osteria del Pegno for the delicious meal you will enjoy, not because it is easy to find. It's up a side street in a residential neighborhood, but worth the effort. When we arrived, the owner quickly appeared and immediately took us to a private indoor table our hotel had reserved for us. We enjoyed watching as... More
