Well worth a visit

My husband and I dined here this evening and had an excellent meal. The food was delicious and plentiful and the service was great. We will definitely come back here again one evening before we leave! It was also incredibly reasonable, well worth a visit!

I went to this restaurant with my wife for dinner. I saw many good reviews on the site, so we decided to go. When e entered it's looked nice and romantic restaurant. When I wanted to consult with the waiter about the menu, ho told me that I can read it for myself and it is all in the menu.... More

Close to the Piazza Navone this lovely restaurant almost feels like someone's home. There is a rustic honesty to the place. The owner takes real interest in your selection and making sure everything is fine. Carciofi alla Romana Artichokes eur 9.50 Millefoglie di Alici Misticanza e cialde di Parmigiano anchovies. Eur 8 Maiallino da latte in crosta patate al forno.... More

Located in a small quiet alley, in a lovely area, Osteria del Pegno is the ideal place to spend a relaxed romantic evening. The cosy atmosphere, the attentive service, the excellent table will contribute to a nice evening. It is not the first time nor the last that we will go to this restaurant. The food is always well prepared... More

This is a quiet little place, 8 tables, two servers. The decor is a bit tired, with vinyl tablecloths, kind of homey. The food was very good, well prepared and tasty. Service was not particularly friendly but very efficient.

We first came to this osteria in 2008. I don't recall what it was like but we only went there once that year. In 2015, we went twice (months of September and December) just because we wanted to give them a fair chance with different dishes. Some experiences were good - others not so good. As well, it was a... More

We had dinner here twice before writing this review. This was no doubt the best food during our stay in Rome. Here's why: traditional, fresh and flavourful pastas and main courses; an extensive wine list including a good selection of ½ bottles; attentive service from English speaking servers; a cosy environment that you want to settle into for a few... I know that the title sounds like obvious hyperbole. But we have eaten at more than three dozen restaurants throughout Italy. Factoring in all elements, including price, I'm sticking with my assessment in the title. Whenever in Rome, we come here. Never disappointed. We never had a problem with service. The house wine is excellent. Pasta is always al dente.... More
