Lovely Restaurant in Trastavere

A source of friendly, welcoming service and excellent food in Trastevere. The fried artichokes were fantastic. The abbachio al forno (roast lamb) was crispy on the outside, and perfectly tender (without a hint of dryness) on the inside. Highly recommended for Roman classics. Buonissimo!

We stopped in here for dinner on our first night staying in Trastevere and had a very enjoyable meal. The atmosphere and food was great and the service here was excellent. The only things that I could fault were that one of the items on the menu we wanted was unavailable and that the cost was a little more than... More

Corsetti a trastevere: a nice restaurant in the heart of Rome. Food is good, nice terrace. Service is friendly but a bit slow.

I stumbled in on this restaurant in trastavere and am SO GLAD. Every other restaurant in trastevere is a tourist trap with lackluster, overpriced food. This is the real deal, it's really nice inside too- modern, cool, welcoming staff. Great selection of wine. Nice outdoor seating. Perfect for dates or groups. Basically, if this restaurant were an Italian masterpiece it... More

First the food was great. Dishes my wife and i have never had, cooked with pride, love and care. The atmosphere was amazing and the service was spectacular. We were greeted with open arms as if we we were family coming to visit for a meal. Questions were openly answered and they encouraged our opinion on the dishes.

One of the best places I have dined in in Rome. The owner and staff are very friendly and the food is some of the best I have had in Italy. I recommend visiting this place if you're ever near Trastevere. Try their excellent Cacio e Pepe.

My wife and I love Rome. On this trip we are staying in Trastevere. Our landlord recommended Corsetti to us and we are very happy that she did. The restaurant is very nicely appointed with white tablecloths and a welcoming atmosphere. Our server greeted us and provided excellent service throughout the evening. Clearly, he knew english but my wife and... More

This is a top class retaurant, but the prices were very reasonable for the range of special "menus" they offered, including wine. Typical Roman cuisine with a long pedigree. Staff very helpful, in particular with selecting menu and appropriate wine.

Staying in Trastevere

Neighborhood Profile
Trastevere
Trastevere ("beyond the Tiber") is like a faded postcard, a little worn around the edges but still charming. With its wide-open piazzas, meandering streets, weathered Renaissance buildings, and overgrown personality, it's become an irresistible mecca for visitors. Trastevere is an enclave of entertainment - a rotating set of street performers entertains almost every night, and unforgettable eateries and bars pepper its piazzas and side streets. For a trip to the past, visit the southern and western flanks of Trastevere for pockets of yesteryear, less traversed areas with a residual 1960s and 70s Roman vibe.
