Good coffee and pastry in a historic piazza

If you are near the Pantheon or Sopra Minerva, you have to stop at the Bar Sant"Eustacchio for a coffee and cornetto in the morning. Everyone has their favorite coffee spot--and this place is excellent but in my opinion, a few steps away, the Tazzaa d'Oro is the best!

A friend recommended this cafe and I wound up coming here three times on a recent trip to Rome. On a relatively quiet piazza a stone's throw from the Pantheon, the location cannot be beat if you don't want to battle the city center crowds. Coffee is excellent if you're a no-nonsense espresso drinker especially. I sat outside each time... More

After seeing the Pantheon, we visited this wonderful coffee shop on the recommendation of a friend. The coffee was fabulous, the service attentive and the setting was quiet since the piazza is several steps removed from the hustle and bustle of tourist area.

Hey, if your going to be drinking espresso and cappuccinos in Italy why not do it here. The perfect spot. You must try the pastries here as well, they are all so good.

Simply the best coffee. I strongly advise against ordering cappuccino or caffe latte. The coffee here is made to be had as espresso or macchiato. Add sugar if you want but too much milk just doesn't work. Have it standing at the counter and feel like local.

After a couple of referrals from friends I thought we'd try the coffee here. It was pleasant but nothing fantastic. You do have to order and then get your coffee, stand at the bar if you don't want to pay the extra to sit down. It is very busy. My husband and son tried the place across the road and... More

The way the place works is that you order and pay FIRST, then get a receipt so that you can go to the coffee bar and place your order. On my first visit when I tried to order a cappuccino at the bar, the person kept asking me a question in Italian. I said I did not understand so he... More

While still somewhat atmospheric I will not return. I've been on other trips to Rome but his time found very uninspired service AND coffee grounds in my cappuccino?? Many other places for un caffé with coffee just as good and better service.

Saw couple of recommending reviews and visited this place. Coffee was good but I didn't have something sirprising. Probably good for coffee gourmet people who have sophisticated sense of tastes! Standing without sitting at tables might be better option that you can order cheaper than when you seated. Espresso EUR3.7 and Cold cream coffee (Frappe something) at price for seated.
