Stumbled across this restaurant whilst looking for another Indian which I never found, lovely quiet place with friendly staff. I had the popadoms and chutney, followed by chicken tikka masala with rice and naan, the food was tasty and fresh and just the right amount of spicyness, prices were average for Rome. Also a big thank you to the waiter... More

We were very tired of pizza and pasta. After passing this restaurant we decided to give it a shot. Well the service was excellent and they were very prompt. Right away we received a lovely pickle tray with a mint sauce, tamarind sauce and curry pickle and papadum. Our food arrived and was very tasty. The owners were friendly and... More

It would have been overpriced even if edible. Fortunately, I live just two minutes walk from... More

Being of Indian origin, and coming to Italy, I felt I needed more spice. I decided to go to Ristorante Mother India to try their food. Along with my family we had Roti (tandoori), Palak Panner, Vegetable Kofta, Dal, Veg Biryani, Raita, and Mixed Veg Curry. I loved the food. It had a nice personal touch, and there was good... More

As an Australian you get used to a huge variety of international cuisine being at your doorstep. After a month of holidaying and choosing accommodation in central spots, the downside is often touristy menus of same old thing at your nearby restaurants. Our hotel was near Piazza del Popolo and it was worth the 2km walk to Mother India. Very... More

After a week of French food we wanted something with some spice and decided to try the food at Mother India Restaurant. Great Choice and Great Service. The food was very tasty, served quickly and the service excellent, good prices too. I would recommend the Vindaloo Chicken spicy if you can handle the spice, if not they can do it... More

After several meals of pasta and pizza we had a fulfilling Indian vegetarian dinner at Mother India just a few minutes walk from Cavour metro (blue line) and one stop from the Colosseum. The owner is a friendly Indian who has been based in Italy for over two decades. We ordered tandoori rotis which were perfectly cooked, accompanied by saag... More
