Average Indian food

Food was good but definitely not the best Indian we had in Rome. The chana dal was very good while the malai kofta was just about average. Staff was helpful and friendly. Portion of the dishes were decent as well.

We went to this restaurant located in the heart of the city for Lunch. Food was excellent, I had been longing for a proper Indian food as I had been relishing Italian food for few days when I was in Italy on a trip and found this place excellent as the food was typical Indian. Restaurant was neat and pretty... More

There's only so much pasta you can eat until you start to look for something new. Look no further! Mother India has great food, great service and best of all, there dinner hours are reasonable. It's often tricky to find a restaurant that opens before 7:00pm in Rome and this restaurant is great for families/early dinner.

Having lived in Rome for the last 18 months, we have been on a mission to find the best Indian restaurant. We have been through several, and written positive reviews about them, but some have lost their luster over time. Mother India has the best hours (open nonstop from lunch through late night), best prices, and has excellent food and... More

Being from New Jersey, US: we are accustomed to a different kind of experience at Indian restaurants. But Mother India surpassed the expectations. The food was great, Beer was amazing and the Pan Liquor which was on the house was peculiar. The owners (Pret Pal) is an amazing young entrepreneur. Good experience overall.

@location : its good location. On the main road. @food: delicious food. @hotel : very good interior. Friendly staff. @cost: food cost was average but in overall rome they charge 2 or 3 euro per person as service charge. So that way the overall cost increases for group of people. There is no buffet option for dinner.

We were in Rome for one week vacation when we had decided to kill our wishes for India Food. I found this gem. Food was good and they have all sort of India's beer. We had Cobra, very nice beer from there. The ambience is very blissful. We just found by chance, it was a good choice though.

Stumbled across this restaurant whilst looking for another Indian which I never found, lovely quiet place with friendly staff. I had the popadoms and chutney, followed by chicken tikka masala with rice and naan, the food was tasty and fresh and just the right amount of spicyness, prices were average for Rome. Also a big thank you to the waiter... More

We were very tired of pizza and pasta. After passing this restaurant we decided to give it a shot. Well the service was excellent and they were very prompt. Right away we received a lovely pickle tray with a mint sauce, tamarind sauce and curry pickle and papadum. Our food arrived and was very tasty. The owners were friendly and... More
