I was celebrating my birthday with my husband in this lovely restaurant. On my arrival I have received a beautiful bouquet. We have booked a traditional table which was very nice and original but a bit small so probably next time I go for a normal one. The ambiance is truly amazing with all the African decorations. We have ordered... More

Just enjoyed my second meal in Sahara last night. Glad I came back- the first time was at the start of January. The staff are very nice, and, although we hadn't made a reservation (it was a Saturday night, too!) they did their best to seat us very quickly, despite the place being packed. All the waitresses are ever-smiling and... More

Good restaurant where the food it's very good and prices are not very high. Only one problem : to park the car. In this restaurant you can eat with your hands, but don't worry! if you have any problems you can always ask a fork :D You must try it!

Showed up earlyish on a Friday night and had an excellent and filling meal of two mains and a starter mix. Service was friendly, the restaurant is large and well laid out, and the food was VERY good. I highly recommend this place as an alternative to the run of the mill pasta shops. To address a lot of the... More

As many others I trusted the good reviews. The atmosphere was very nice but that was swiftly dampened by the waitress who seated us and took our order. We felt we were an inconvenience and I gave up trying to squeeze a smile out of her. Meat was tuff and bread sour. One mixed starter, 2 mains, a beer and... More

We had a late dinner here since the restaurant was down the street from the Best Western where we were staying near the university, and we were longing for something spicy. The place was a pleasant surprise - didn't disappoint on the food front, attractive decor, good service, reasonably-priced. It's been a while since we've eaten Eritrean food so I... More

Their fermented millet bread is certainly not for everyone, as it's quite sour, but I liked it. I also liked the veg falafel and veg mix, which was a mix of 3 or 4 dishes. The atmosphere is very nice, and very suitable for special occasions. The staff is very friendly. Don't forget to make a reservation! It's really not... More

Very nice place, with a lot of handicrafts from Eritrea, where food is quite good (gommen was a little acid though), even if not enough "tipical" for who like me has been living in Ethiopia for some time. But overall very decent in an European/Italian context. Waiters and bosses are kind and smily. We didn't wait too long. Very disappointing... More

Fine food and relaxing atmosphere. We really enjoyed a good evening. We liked it very much and we'd like to go there again. One of most good african food in Roma.

After eating pasta & pizzas for days, it was refreshing to have authentic Ethiopian cuisine. They were very hospitable and the menu portions were healthy.
