We ate twice at this lovely restaurant. Our server spoke perfect English. It was clean (best bathrooms in Rome!) and bright. We ate indoors the first time and outside the second. I can't recall all that we ordered, but my mother-in-law pronounced her lasagna excellent, and my husband and I were very pleased with our choices. I made the mistake... More

very good food. The fish was excellent, seafood risotto to die for. and great service. Waiters were very professional. Highly recommended. If the locals eat there you know its good. Also very roomy unlike some of the packed places. The house wine was good..

We visited this restaurant very late one night. The waiter was very nice and even though it was late they did not rush us at all. My wife had the pasta carbonara and she loved it. I had the lasagna and it was one of the best I've had. The prices were very reasonable for dinner. The restaurant has a... More

Staying at a nearby hotel we asked at reception for a nearby resteraunt, and were directed to the Regina. It was quite full, my wife and I were shown to a table for 4....... Already seating 2 middle aged men ! After friendly nods, I tried to understand the Italian menu, they asked ( in excellent English) if we needed... More

Me, my husband and our two year old son had our New Years Eve dinner here. We were very satisfied. The ham and breasola starters were super good and fresh. The homemade ice cream for dessert was super yummy. The prices are very good too. I wish that they would dim the lights a bit - it would be much... More

I read reviews here on TA and got a recommendation from our hotel to eat there for authentic homemade pasta. I ordered the cabonara and it tasted like I was eating a raw egg tossed with pasta that stuck together - you know the box spaghetti that you forget to separate? They also just stared at us through the whole... More

We've had many good food in Italy and Regina is among the best. The veal stew was one of the best I had ever had. Ask for recommendation on dessert and go for the tourist menu which is great value for money.

Recommended by our hotel, no hidden extras, unlike so many rip-off restaurants in Rome. Good simple Italian food, nothing pretentious or elaborate, just great value for money. You can sit outside if you wish. Friendly staff despite our lack of Italian.

The Regina is a straightforward family-run restaurant that offers straightforward Italian food. There are no frills, but the atmosphere is friendly and welcoming. The decor is simple, but pleasant. The €18 menu is very good value. The pasta, as one would expect, is very well made, but the meats too are well marinated and very well cooked. Given that it... More
