After looking for a good place to eat in the nearby area surrounding the Spanish Steps on trip advisor we decided to try this place. Although the food was good enough, it wasn't amazing - neither was the service. We waited a while on drinks and the waiter wasn't that friendly. Definitely wasn't the worst place we ate though.

Nice spot with attentive service and a mean Carbonara...the after-dinner limoncello gratis was a nice touch.

Tried this place at the suggestion of our hotel. Best branzino I've eaten. Modern and interesting setting with top notch service. Great for fish but full menu.

visited twice during our stay in Rome. On both visits we were met with excellent service and great food. Tried their truffle tasting menu that was well worth the money.

We loved Life, one of Rome's fish restaurants and well worth a visit. The food was excellent, we shared antipasti and our waiter couldn't have been more helpful. The mains were good though my only criticism would be that the lobster spaghetti would have benefitted from a little more lobster and a bit less shell but the home made pasta... More

We stopped here one night and ate at their outdoor seating. We started with an appetizer and then had main courses and dessert. Everything was fantastic and the complementary lemoncello was a nice finish to the meal.

So we'd been in Italy for 9 days so we had plenty to compare to. This place was great, the set menu for the truffle was the greatest - it had the best pasta i consumed for the week easy. My wife had the lobster set menu, which was good also. Even the hamburger looked good. Inside seating was nice... More

Have come here nearly every evening. Take at least two cources. Well prepared and delicious. Nice wine list and cocktails. Had artichokes, roman style with fish this evening. And a choice if inside or out.

This may have been the best meal we ate in Rome. We enjoyed the wide variety of dishes offered and tried a few appetizers, pastas, and side dishes. Very fresh, some modern preparations, all with nicely balanced flavors. If you're vegetarian, the side dishes alone will keep you happy. The wine list by the bottle is quite good, too. Service... Staying in Colonna

Neighborhood Profile
Colonna
Frantic fashionistas, pedicured politicos, goal-oriented tourists, and on-the-go locals cross paths every day in Colonna, a delightful chaos in the very center of the city. Even though it has some of the city’s loveliest sites—a 2nd century column, Belle Epoque shopping center, and a magnificent Baroque parliament building—Colonna is not just another pretty face, but the cosmopolitan eye of Rome’s cultural storm. Colonna can safely say it has the best of Rome: museums, boutiques, window displays, restaurants, cafes, and people watching.
