This is definitely worth finding and the lines are long, worth the wait. The pizza's are thick, not the usual Roman-style pizza, more Napolitano (from Naples), with a thicker crust. This is a casual locale, a great place for families with children. Also, very reasonably priced. The waiters are helpful, and their English is good. Also, this is not only... More

With an evening arrival in Rome, we were happy our hotel recommended a place nearby (near Piazza Navonna) to eat. The restaurant is downstairs, nice atmosphere. Antipasti and pasta were so so, pizzas that others ordered looked good. The wine tasted great. As our meal drew to a close, our Moroccan waiter noted credit cards weren't accepted. So he lead... Great place for pizza, close by Piazza Navona. Friendly atmosphere, delicious pizza, moderately priced. A little hard to find, but just ask around -- definitely worth it! Lunch time was busy, but not overcrowded, and the service was quite timely.

Traveling with young adults. Everyone loved it! Definitely the best pizza we've had (and we have eaten pizza all over Rome), my pasta was excellent, and the staff and the atmosphere comfortable and cozy (not tight on space, cozy in feel). May try to squeeze in one more visit before we leave.

We tried pizza 3 times elsewhere before we came here and were a bit disappointed. This was the only place we found that we thought was 'authentic'. When you walk into the restaurant, you walk into what I'm assuming is the kitchen (or part of?) with the stone open pizza oven. The pizza we had was absolutely delicious, there's nothing... More

Revisited after many years and still delivers the grub. Antipasto di fritti and pasta grigia col tartufo. Service fast and with a smile, so need anything more? Place full of locals which says it all.

Very disappointed. Ended up there out of sheer frustration in sifting through the chaos and what a disaster. Ok...the suppli were tasty but waiting over 30 mins for the pasta while watching table after table get their food was unacceptable. Tried to cancel the order but was told "no, 2 minutes!" And unable to cancel. 10-15 mins later, the pasta... More

We found La Focaccia by chance as we were wandering around the centro storico by night. Avoiding Piazza Navone (overpriced and mediocre) we found La Focaccia just a couple of streets away. Yes, it has plastic tables and seats but it is what it is - a cheap trattoria in the old centre of Rome! You can't fault that. We... More

We stumbled on this place as we came out of an art exhibit at the Chiostro del Bramante. We were in need of a glass of wine and a cool place to sit and enjoy it. La Tavernetta fit the bill. We sat outside and had a light meal and enjoyed the company of the staff. While we were there,... More
