Good food, friendly service

With just enough sunshine to justify eating outdoors we chose La Focaccia because of they had a sunny table for pavement dining. We should have checked the compass; before the drinks arrived we were in the shade. When offered the choice of sizes for a beer I chose "large". It turned out to be a... read more

Off the beaten paths of Piazza Navona. This small place is a gem. Generous portions, nice ambiance, smiling waiters although not coping very well under the pressure..... It was very difficult to choose between the various propositions. So we tried to be adventurous. The pizza is unmissable of course. And the price is unbelievable. Go there .... Enjoy Rome

We had planned to split a pizza for a snack but the choice was so interesting we bravely had one each! The tomatoe sauce on mine had areal tang to it rather than the usually insipid offerings you get and my wife had a mozzarella Gorgonzola walnut and pear pizza and it was lovely and something very different. Made In... More

I ate here tonight with my family and the food and service was great. We each ordered a pizza, which was good, and shared a bottle of wine. At the end of the night the waiter bought us limoncello shots on the house which was appreciated! When we were ready to pay the waiter told us 'not to forget a... More

We been to this place some times in the past three years, (every time we have been in Rome), since we love the Neapolitan style pizza. This was the perfect place. Last time the pizza was different: the dough was harder/dried than usual; too much semolina flour left on the dough, and too much tomato sauce....heavy and disappointing.... I remembered... More

I was on the second day of my holiday and getting a little cheesed off with bad service, attitude and rip offs in Rome. Luckily I read some reviews for here and I was so pleasantly surprised. It's rustic but the food was lovely and the waitress was v nice. She even asked if I wanted to take away my... More

Once in a great while a restaurant comes along to tantalize all your senses. Such a place is La Focaccia. The evening started with a pass by the powerful aromas of the pizza oven as you come through the front door. After winding down a series of steps to a downstairs quaint dining room, we were seated at a cozy... More

Excellent pizza and salads....price good too. Might be a bit "ugly" on the outside but the inside is very warm and welcome

The food was good and the service really nice. What I didn't like was the room, in the basement. Anyways it is a place where I would return with no problem if I didn't know where to go.
