Lovely food although took a little longer than usual for service, luckily we weren't starving! Staff were very friendly.

We ate here on our final day in Rome. It was near our hotel and we ate outside sharing a pizza and what was the best bruschetta I have eaten. The service was efficient and friendly. We also enjoyed dessert. Our disappointment is that we did not eat here sooner. There are countless small and charming restaurants in this neighborhood,...

I hope I got the right place, there are a few 'Scala's on here. It was near Barberini tube station in a very expensive part of town popular with 5* tourists and wealthy locals, but quite rustic inside. This was recommended to me by a local who goes there with a famous Italian movie star, so I knew it would...

I've eaten here several times & found it OK, but my most recent mea nwas a disaster. The "lamb" was tough, fatty & still contained glands which should've been removed in peparation. When sending it back after 1 mouthful, nobody could care less.A real chef or maitre de would have enquired what the problem was, but there was an air...

We are vegetarians and we were able to get good food here. The prices were very reasonable too! It was a little hard to find the first time around but definitely worth it for the price and food.
Excellent selection, in particular: matriciana, tartare (not in menu), montblanc dessert Very very good service

It is on a hillside with a nice ambience and I...

At the recommendation of our B&B, we tried dinner at La Scala. We did not have reservations and got there at 8:00. They were so friendly, actually the most friendly so far in Rome! We were not rushed even though the place was very busy. We had their insalate mista which was fresh. We had their raviolis in tomato sauce...

The restaurant is on one of the most bustling little almost-pedestrian roads in Trastevere, the Via di Scala. In the evenings, the place is packed,we were lucky to get a seat, inside though. Their Caprese with buffalo mozzarella is regular tasty, you can't do wrong with the right quality, which they have/offer. For dinner we had turbot with thinly sliced...
