Description: The Cabiria, the gourmet setting of the Rome Marriott Grand Hotel Flora, is the realm of chef Luigi Sorrentino. The culinary journey starts in Naples but then moves on to the other Italian regions according to the season. Is it the right time for aubergines? So then it’s time for the special “paccheri” pasta from Gragnano served with aubergines sliced into thin strips and fried until they are golden, “pachino” tomatoes dried, salted “baccalà” cod and Gaeta olives. The inspiration comes from the season and from the colours of the day. A rainy or grey day means more color on the plate. And the Gulf of Naples shows its influence even on the shape of the food. The “Faraglione” is a flan made with almonds, chocolate vanilla ice-cream and nutty “gianduia” sitting on a kiwi sauce, and always makes guests think of Capri’s famous Faraglione rock

Brilliant food and service. The hotel was advertising a special offer of 3 courses and a glass of house wine for 25 euro per head. We took a chance and it proved to be a good choice. There was a reasonable selection of dishes and tasty bread provided. The ambiance was good, service was great and the food was good. I... More

Set in a beautiful Marriott property this restaurant boasts some of the best service I have seen in Roma. The atmosphere lends itself to a casual but elegant space which is indeed unique to a hotel restaurant. The fare was spot on and the dish of the night was the homemade gnocchi. A must!! I would also recommend any of... More

We ate here one evening while we were in Rome. We were serenaded by the piano player and the service was amazing. The restaurant is beautifully decorated and very posh. The menu has a lot to offer and while not cheap, totally worth it. Attentive service, very romantic and we were sad to leave. Much to love here!

I loved the furnishings in the room, comfy bed and linens the deep bathtub. The restaurant - menu and food preparation isn't quite up to par, could use improvement.

We decided at the last minute to try the hotel restaurant and piano bar. We were extremely pleased with every element of our dining experience! First of all beginning with enjoying a delightful Roman varietal wine while listening to a piano player. Our server was very, very attentive and we were never left wanting to ask for anything. The Caesar... More

You get what you pay for here and its not cheap. Its worth every cent. Gianni and Giovanni have made this a real Italian experience with a smile and a cocktail. The food blows away other just as expensive joints on via Veneto. Don't pass it by because its in a hotel. Right across the street from Harry's Bar

We had dinner several times in the Cabiria during our stay in Rome. Very good food and excellent service. Became our go back to place after some disappointments with highly recommended restaurants.

Enjoyed a late night dinner after a busy day in Rome. Nice menu with good choices. Food and service very good. Franco the manager was excellent as was his staff. Much better choice than other places on via Veneto-especially the box restaurants which are so expensive and borderline.

My wife and I and a few friends ate dinner here late in July. We had a variety of appetizers, main courses, and desserts, and all were fine. Especially good was a chicken dish with wild mushrooms and raddichio with a balsamic vinegar reduction (Straccetti di pollo scottati con funghi pleurs e radicchio all’aceto balsamico). The restaurant is NOT inexpensive,... More

When they said "we'll find you a table", we didn't expect the server to literally pick a table up from elsewhere down the patio and place it in a great spot on the rooftop patio, the Basilica in the distance. Service was slow but friendly and the pasta was perfectly al dente. Pricy but beyond what one would expect from... More
