First time was in April 2008 and was a recommendation from our hotel. Delicious food and friendly service. Flash forward July 2014, the restaurant is still fantastic! Booked our reservation for dinner on the same day. (Sunday night) It is popular with tourists, English and Italian speaking ones. However, locals still frequent them. We had two apps, two pasta dishes,... More

Pollo al limone was very good. Beer or wine is expensive as everywhere else in Italy. It gets crowded at peak times.

This little tavern is a very good restaurant, well frequented by Italians. My friend and I had luck to get a table without reservation. The service was friendly and courteous and the chef came to greet his guests. The ambience was therefore very familiar. Beside the normal menu, there was a separate card with dishes of the day. The food... More

We were actually not at the Colosseum nor the Forum - but had been looking for the Vespa museum downstairs at Bici and Baci! Oh, it was a hot sunny day and the crowds were awful. What's with people in large crowds staring at their phones expecting oncoming pedestrians to watch out for them? Sigh and I digress. So, we... More

Everytime i travel to Rome i eat here, innovative dished, perfect service and always a good time. Only minus is that this is a very popular restaurant so you need to book in advanced. Have eaten here many times a year for the last to years. Looking forward to next visit

We wanted something close to the colosseum but not a tourist rip off and this fit the bill perfectly. A bit hard to find using our free hotel map in the tangle of tiny streets off a big main road - but worth seeking out. We had delicious carbonara off the special chefs menu and also a rabbit and duck... More

We stumbled across this restaurant round the corner from our fantastic B&B Made In Rome. The staff and owner were very welcoming and attentive. The food at lunch was superb and the house wine recommendation hit the spot. We were only disappointed that when we returned a few days later we couldn't get it as we had failed to book... More

We're told about this family run restaurant by a tour guide. Very typically Italian, gorgeous food. We were advised not to eat near the tourist attractions as the food is known to be poor. Find restaurants off the beaten track for quality. The cost is no more than the more central places too.

We went there right after Colosseum and we were starving, the service is quite slow and they just do their job (not totally helpful but not arrogant either). The portions are smaller than all the other restaurants we went in Rome so end up being more expensive. The food was ok, far from being the best we tried.

Great food, great service, reasonable prices. Just like your Italian grandmother would have made you smile. Close to Forum Romanum/Colosseum and a great pitstop after a day at Forum
