We had good lunch at this place. We didn't have reservation but arrived at 12.30 p.m and after 5 mins and good food of excellent quality. Overall enjoyable experience and happy to recommend this. This is nearer to Hotel Forum.

The food must be great because we went to the resturant just as it opened at 7:30 and it was already half full and booked until 10:30. When I asked about a table for four I was quickly amd abruptly dismissed by the wait staff. I felt like I was in an episode of Senfield waiting to get soup from... More

This is a friendly place that manages to avoid being a complete tourist trap despite being just a few blocks from some of the most famous attractions in the world. We heard a lot of English, and the décor included US sports team memorabilia, but we also noticed an Italian woman dropping off her visiting friends for lunch with assurances... More

If you want to eat at la taverna you need to reserve a table. We sat and watched so many get turned away it was crazy, it's a small place. The food was a 10/10, the service was awesome, great wine, a diamond among glass, you won't know it until you go to the rest room and see the wall... More

It's been a year now since we had the good fortune to get a table at this busy taverna after it was recommended by friends, and a year later we are still raving about our evening there. The food was fantastic and the service was warm and beyond friendly...we felt like family. We are looking forward to returning to Rome,... More

We went to this place after reading reviews on tripadvisor expecting great food. Unfortunately this place was tourist magnet with average food. Menu was mill of the run , all the servers were fluent in english which was a bonus but the food lacked character. Have been to couple of places closeby that serves much better food.

We (husband, mother and I) were in town for a family member's wedding and this restaurant was around the corner from where we stayed. We thought we would give it a go for dinner, having seen good reviews, but were basically laughed at when we tried to get in. Two days later, we came back from sightseeing and tried again,... More

During our trip to Italy we went to Venice, Rome and the Amalfi Coast. Based on TA reviews, we ate only at the very top-rated restauarants. I write this to provide context when I say that this was the best restaurant dining experience of the trip. The menu was extensive enough that we felt we could have eaten there all... More

My wife and I stopped for dinner at La Taverna die Fori Imperili. When we first arrived at 8:30pm (we did not have a reservation), we were told there were no tables but that we could make a reservation for 9:30. Making a reservation is a great idea to make sure you get a table at the time you want... More
