After a long walk through the foro romano and the colosseum this resraurant was the perfect place to recover. The service was more than friendly and the food wast the best we've had during our whole vacation in rome.

Got there at 7 pm. The guy at the door said my wife and I have to wait for 30 minutes because the restaurant doesn't open until 7:30. It was our last night in Rome so we wanted to try a restaurant away from our usual spots. We waited at a bar down the street until 7:30 and went back.... More

I visited this restaurant in 2012. This year, I came again since I remember this restaurant as an excellent place to eat. My visit just confirmed my opinion that this restaurant is really something special and a perfect example of fine italian cousine and atmosphere. We tried different types of pasta, as well as veal and lamb for a main... More

The need to make a reservation and the queues outside attest to the popularity of this restaurant. The food and atmosphere are good but you have to wonder how main courses priced at 12-18 euros can lead to a bill around €125 for a couple.

Great pasta, secundo and dessert! Reservations are a must! You won't be seated without them. Well worth whatever you have to do to get in. Papa is in the kitchen and the grown children are the wait staff. Lovely atmosphere. Pricey but worth every euro!

A cute atmosphere and worth the wait to get in. We had a caprese salad, eggplant parmesan, the pesto ravioli, and a grilled steak for two of us. The caprese was properly oiled/salted (the bland caprese is the bane of many Roman restaurants, I find), with just enough basil to balance out the flavors. The eggplant parmesean was the real... As we were visiting the Colosseum and the Forum, we decided to find this restaurant and we managed to reserve a table for later.... which was a good plan! Our hotel was close by and this restaurant was recommended by then and on TA. Our hotel advised that it was best to book a place on a Saturday night in... More

Perhaps my experience was a tad different since I visited this restaurant with a friend of Chef Alezzio & family. We dined here 4 of the 6 nights we were in Rome & each night was a delight. We didn't even look at the menu, just let them serve us a variety of whatever they chose for us. And after... More
