Large variety and great quality

I have been going to Spaghetteria l'Archetto since almost 20 years. The variety and quality are still the same: HIGH! Even though simple, the place takes care of what it serves and has kept it through the years. Pizza is also great but I always go there for the great spaghetti!

My husband and I got engaged at the Trevi Fountain in 2012 and we went to this little restaurant right after he proposed to me. We absolutely loved it. The pasta is amazing and we have gone back 3 times (it is a must every time we vista Rome). I know this little place holds a special place in my... More

Price/Performance is unfair, portions are small, the ingredients... just trace quantity! I ordered a Bolognese and it was the most mediocre pasta I ever tried. Nothing special. But oh well, in the center of the touristic part of Rome, they will always find tourists to cheat on.

We stopped by in this little restaurant on our final day of a magnificent four day holiday for a lunch after a marathon walk from the Vatican. We were hopeful for a decent meal as it was slightly outside of the tourist hub and after such a walk, our hunger levels were at peak. We each ordered a bruschetta and... More

We arrived for lunch 10 minutes after they opened, and we got the last table. This restaurant has a well-deserved reputation for delicious food, and the longest pasta menu I've seen! Try the Porcina - it was excellent, made with olive oil, garlic, pecorino, parmigiano, porcini mushrooms and walnuts, mmmmmm good.

Given the proximity of the Trevi Fountain, you could expect that any restaurant in this area serving good quality, authentic Italian pasta is going to pull your pants down over the price. Not so with this fantastic Spaghetteria tucked down a small side-street minutes from the fountain. It's fairly unassuming from the outside with the option of a cluster of... More

Slightly off the beaten track, on a backstreet near Trevi Fountain, we visited L'Archetto on the recomendation of our tour guide. We were lucky to get there in good time (shorty after 7pm) and got a table outside (10mins after we were seated there was a constant queue of 12+ waiting for tables!) The food was lovely, plenty of choice... More

We loved this place so much - there's extensive choice, and the kitchen are willing to adapt the dishes according to your preferences. I had the most incredible truffle oil spaghetti and my partner really enjoyed his spicy pancetta tomato pasta. The service is a little slow owing to there only being one waiter serving a very busy area, but... More

Some of best pasta I've ever tasted. Such care taken in every meal. Family of six loved it. Outdoor seating was fun.

A great place for a family with kids who only eat pizza and pasta. Both are great. Pity about vongole only available on Wednesdays and Fridays.

Staying in Trevi

Neighborhood Profile
Trevi
A non-stop photo and souvenir opportunity, Trevi is all about action. From early morning through the wee hours, the piazza surrounding Trevi Fountain hosts a never-ending flow of tourists hoping to make a wish or take a selfie. Clever restaurants, charming gelaterias, uncanny bars, kitsch shops, and a range of hotels make up the local landscape. Beneath the bustle are the remains of an ancient neighborhood that you can visit by heading over to a repertoire cinema and asking for a peek underground. There is something for everyone, but if peace and quiet are what you seek, plan to visit in the early morning hours.
