Great place if you're in the neighborhood

Menu was authentic and delicious. Prices were a little touristy. Service was good. Tons of seating and extensive wine menu

La Taverna dei Monti was a pleasant way to end the day of our very busy sightseeing schedule during our visit to Rome. The choice of indoor or outdoor seating (AC during the recent heatwave was definitely welcome!), the friendly atmosphere and excellent food had us return for a second dinner. A special shout out to our lovely waitress, Robie,... More

We stumbled upon this place when walking back from the Colosseum. Seating inside was air conditioned and very comfortable on the hot day. I ordered a medium rare steak and my wife ordered spaghetti with seafood. We both enjoyed our meals very much. Service was excellent. 5 stars.

My wife and I visited this restaurant twice during our stay in Rome 21/8/15 and 25/8/15. Their food is delicious and it so authentic. Excellent people across the board from the owner down to waitress (and her name is Robelee). Say hi to her when you get there. I highly recommend this restaurant to everyone. The best of the Best!

visited on 22.08.2015 cosy restaurant, didnt have to wait at all to be seated even though there was quite a few people in the restaurant. service was quick and friendly. The food was delicious. I had the lasagna and it tasted completely different to what we get here in the UK - different in the best possible way. The food... More

We visited this Restaurant for lunch on the day before our return home.My wife and myself shared the seafood pasta, the grilled shrimp, the tomato and buffalo cheese salad, tiramisu, caramel custard and espresso with wine or Heineken beer .Every item was delicious except that I would have preferred a better Italian beer than Heineken. The restaurant had been recommended by a friend in... More

After sitting in a restaurant around the corner for 20 minutes and being ignored...we stumbled upon this gem a mere stones throw from the Artemide Hotel where we were staying. We ate on the Saturday night. We were welcomed in and seated by (we think) the owner. We ordered two large beers for me and the Mrs and a coke... More

This is a place you should visit during your stay in Rome, they offer really original roman dishes like abbacchio and spaghetti carbonara (and also amatriciana and vongole), and the service is very friendly. The the price is more than fair, 3 courses and drink for less than 30 euro, you can find this place very easily from the via... More

while some people seemingly have had good experiences with the restaurant our family experience was really poor. We had a reservation for an outside table which wasn't honored (which on a beautiful summer night was very disappointing) and we were shunted to a back table. the food was well below average and so far the weakest meal in Rome.
