Best carpaccio in Rome

We visited this restaurant which was just at the end of the street from where we were staying. I had carpaccio which was delicious and hubby had pasta which was nice. He then had fish which was lovely. Waitress lacked personality and service but food was good. Biscotti was nice with coffee.

The reviews of this restaurant are spot on! A totally real authentic Italian offering and large menu that will leave you very satisfied. I had both vegetarians and meat lovers in our group and everyone left fulfilled. A very easy location to find in the historic district of Rome. Right off of Via Nazionale.

Quick, honest, and good food. Only the house wine might have been q bit better. Efficient service but lacked a bit of warmth and hospitality

We visited here twice. On our first visit we had the lasagne and tiramisu which was very good. On our second visit I had Bucatini All' amatriciana, the size of serving was enormous. I much preferred the Lasagne that I'd had the night before. We enjoyed the tiramisu again. The staff were not friendly towards us, but they did give... More

Tipical italian taverna. Delicious food, nice friendly professional service. Atmosphere of little family restaurant in the middle of big city. I will definitely come back when I am in Rome again.

This is an amazing restaurant. Somehow, on our first day in Rome, it managed to rain the whole day through, and my wife and I snuck into La Taverna to catch a quick cappucino and dry off a bit. It happened to be about lunch-time, and we got a first-hand view of most of the meal options while we sipped... More

We had dinner at this restaurant twice as it was very close to our hotel. The food was yummy and the service was great. We had several great dishes. My favorite was the spinach & ricotta ravioli. If you like seafood, the seafood risotto is excellent. We also tried the Ox tail, lamb & roasted potatoes & pasta carbonara. These... More
