Excellent service, English spoken, prices very reasonable and portions very generous. The amoretti biscuits at the end as a complimentary added a nice touch.

Enjoyed the lasagna so much on first night that came back for it a second time. On the second occasion it was still very good but not as wonderful as the 1st time.

Fantastic service! They even gave us free tap water, in a pitcher, with ice! (Hard to find in Europe.) Enjoyed the pastas (try the cannelloni). I would recommend this place!

We were hungry and "beer" thirsty on a walk from Republica towards Plaza Venizia window shopping. Looked down a side street and saw La Taverna dei Monti. What a great find. The Italian tap beer was cold and delicious! My husband ordered vegetable soup with rice (there was a choice rice or pasta) and I had the tomato soup both... More

We ate here the first time when looking for a lunch spot in the rain. We enjoyed it so much we returned for dinner the next night. Everyone in our family enjoyed their meals. The tomato soup my daughter had tasted very fresh. We also had the carbonara and gnocchi, both of which were very good. The house wine was... More

I don’t really know if the Taverna does typical Roman cuisine or typical anything else but there are over 100 photos on this eatery’s TA listing of dishes served there. A reasonable presumption would be that most people don’t photograph food they dislike or that was rubbish. Photos recall happy memories, good times. On a brief stopover in Rome, we... More

We were advised by our hotel to try the restaurants in this area. We settled on this one and were not disappointed. We ate here the first night in Rome, elsewhere the second, and the last three back here. Good house white and red wine, bread, and entrées, main, and deserts. We have two young boys and we were all... More

I actually found the place here, on Trip Advisor. Indeed, the food was delicious! I had Gnocchi al pesto, and although I hate the fact that Italian food is soaked in olive oil, I enjoyed every little gnocchi on the plate :) So nothing bad to say about the food The service, on the other hand, was rather bad... I... More

This was my 3rd time at this restaurant, the service is amazing and the food is even better! I went here for the first time last year when I visited Rome and loved it. I was so excited to come back to Rome with my boyfriend as it is his first time in Rome, he loved it so much, we... More

Just a little away from the main drag, this restaurant ticked all the boxes in my family's search for a reasonably priced, tasty venue, serving decent Italian food. All three of us were very chuffed at individual choices. We covered the gnocchi, seafood and veal. My husband is still raving about the tiramisu. Yep, you get charged for bread you... More
