Wonderful seafood in a bright, noisy, bustling Tratorria.

This restaurant is in a quiet little street, Via dell 'Orso, but only a couple of blocks north of Piazza Navonna. It only has seating outside for about twenty people, but is cavernous inside. I would say this place was mediocre at best. Absolutely disgusting. Everything is covered in olive oil and the servers are insanely rude. They bring you out antipasti that is saturated in oil. The servers drop the wine and water on your table and you pour it yourself. They smoke cigarettes right in front of your eyes and come right... More

I was looking for "Hosteria L'Orso" and the sign said "Orso 80" with "Hosteria" on the wall behind the awning, so I'm not sure if I found the right place. When I walked in, I saw all the great antipasti on display, so I ordered the assorted antipasti della casa. A huge platter arrived at my table heaped with different... More

This place was very close to our apartment and strongly recommended by our host, particularly for their pizza. We went for lunch on the day we arrived in Rome. The pizza was excellent. I split one with my husband but it was so good I wished I had my own! The servers were polite and helpful.

This is one of the better restaurants in Rome. We had a very pleasant and memorable evening here while enjoying the fantastic food. On my next time in Rome I will certainly go back here next time I'll have the pleasure of visiting the eternal city!

We were staying in the vicinity of this restaurant so decided to try it based on the reviews here. I sure wish we had passed it up. First off, we tried to dine at 7:15, which is fairly early by Italian standards. Most of the outdoor tables were vacant but they refused to seat us at one in a comfortable... More

We learned the hard way many years ago on the first visit to Rome about avoiding the tourist traps. This time it was follow the locals all the way and we did, three times to Orso 80. A friend of mine recommended this restaurant. How she found it is beyond me. She said it was her "go to" restaurant when in Rome. It is on a small side street. It is a family run restaurant with great prices and some of the best food we had in Rome. They have an extensive menu and everything is cooked... More
