Cheap and reasonably good

I had good memories of this place from my student years because it was all I could afford at the time, but I haven't been impressed this time. Pizzas were too salty, and spaghetti carbonara was average. However, service was very good (the energy of the staff is impressive).

We were advised to eat in Trastevere and chose this restaurant. It was very noisy, but it meant we made a good choice: the Italians are noisy! First time we ordered pizza capriciosa and ravioli with spinach and ricotta. Pizza was just awesome!!!! Second time- antipasti melon and parma ham- also very good- and some pasta. We have very good... More

Great Roman pizza, Saltimbocca. Definitely going again if in Rome and trying their Carbonara, another Roman pasta, next time.

Typical Roman pizzeria - very fast service, good service, efficient staff, sitting on the sidewalk in bustling Trastevere.

I discovered this place years ago while house-sitting down the block for a friend and it became such a part of my life that I was a customer at least weekly, even getting takeout that I took back to my own apartment in a taxi...and then I left Rome, which was a terrible decision. Returning and finding the pizza to... More

Great food. It was so great that we ate here twice during out four days in Rome. It had a lot of locals eating there. We spent around 60 Euro for 5 people.

Best pizza in Italy. The "Buffalo Bill" is my favorite, perfect combination of sauce, cheese, tomatoes and basil. Delicious pasta as well (cacio e pepi, bolognese and pesto are great). Wonderful, fun atmostphere with great waitstaff and overall a must-go-to place in Rome.

We visited for dinner in summer and sat at one of the tables outside. Cars going past, people walking dogs and always something to look at. Service was friendly. The pizzas were on a very thin crust which was charred around the edges. Our youngest son only usually eats about one slice at home- at Ivo he ate three slices... More

Had dinner here one night, and was pleased. Had bruchetta for a starter, which was absolutely perfect! So flavourfull! Had also a pizza margherita with some red wine. The pizza was great: thin crust, not too crispy, good cheese and a robust tomato sauce. Even the chespest red wine was good, and the whole evening ended up costing me around... More

Staying in Trastevere

Neighborhood Profile
Trastevere
Trastevere ("beyond the Tiber") is like a faded postcard, a little worn around the edges but still charming. With its wide-open piazzas, meandering streets, weathered Renaissance buildings, and overgrown personality, it's become an irresistible mecca for visitors. Trastevere is an enclave of entertainment - a rotating set of street performers entertains almost every night, and unforgettable eateries and bars pepper its piazzas and side streets. For a trip to the past, visit the southern and western flanks of Trastevere for pockets of yesteryear, less traversed areas with a residual 1960s and 70s Roman vibe.
