Highly recommended with reason

We were recommended to eat hear by an ex- Roman we met on the plane. We eventually found the place. The outside tables were crowded but they fitted us in inside. Pizza. pasta and salads all fresh and tasty. Place was busy but service was still attentive enough. Would recommend it to others for... read more

Eating pizza, drinking wine, beside a cobbled stone street! We happened upon this pizzeria around 9:30 one evening and it was crowded. We waited for only 20 minutes to get a table outside. Lucky! We ordered prosciutto with melon, 3 pizzas, tomato and garlic, sausage, mushroom and olives, and one with tomato and anchovies. Very thin crisp crust and all... More

We actually visited here way back in 1995 but just came across it again recently. The thins & crispy pizza is the best we have ever tasted - the queues of locals and tourist are there for a reason. The staff and atmosphere were amazing (esp. if you like football!). Yes it is very busy, not it is not fine... More

I'm grateful to my friends for introducing me to this place. The lengthy wait for a table spoke for itself and I'm happy patience paid off! The menu boasts quite a bit of variety, enough to have something for everyone (carnivores, vegetarians, pizza lovers, pasta fiends, appetizer aficionados, etc) and the pricing is very reasonable. There seemed to be a... More

Good food. But extremely congested. We had to leave stroller out and there barely was space to seat 4. Great pasta and pizza, good atmosphere.

While service is not at highest level, this restaurant is definitely a safe value - good food, good product. Pizza and pastas are a must!

We chose this restaurant because of the queue in front of it, and it's absolutely tell something. This restaurant is amazing. It has ranges of delicious pizza, freshly prepared and cooked in traditional wooden-Fired. The atmosphere was so Italian where families and colleagues have dinner and chat a lot. The price was very reasonable for the quality of food we... More

It was recommended to us by some guy selling souvenirs on the sidewalk. He said they have an old brick oven and aren't such a tourist trap. Amazing Pizza and friendly staff. We were so satisfied and I would seriously go back.

We were in Trastevere for a meal but the restaurant we choose was really more for lunch and we found Ivo just up the road. It was very busy full of large groups of Italians. We opted for courgette flowers and mozarella balls to start. the courgette flowers were amazing with anchovies in them. A seasonal one I know but... More

The food was ok but nothing that made me say"wow". The service was fine. We got carbonara and riggatoni with basil and aubergines. The green salad was fresh and crunchy but lacked in the dressing department.

Staying in Trastevere

Neighborhood Profile
Trastevere
Trastevere ("beyond the Tiber") is like a faded postcard, a little worn around the edges but still charming. With its wide-open piazzas, meandering streets, weathered Renaissance buildings, and overgrown personality, it's become an irresistible mecca for visitors. Trastevere is an enclave of entertainment - a rotating set of street performers entertains almost every night, and unforgettable eateries and bars pepper its piazzas and side streets. For a trip to the past, visit the southern and western flanks of Trastevere for pockets of yesteryear, less traversed areas with a residual 1960s and 70s Roman vibe.
