There are a lot of restaurants in Trastevere area. We went to this restaurant because we read a good review from Tripadvisor. Again, the restaurant open at 7:30pm for dinner and we were there at 7:00 but the staff open the door for us anyway. Prosciutto, Mozzarella, Tomato, and Basil for starter and the pasta and risotto were amazing.

On our first night we went as it was close to our apartment in Trastevere and thought the pizza and even the pasta was fantastic. The house wine was good too. As was the service. The place is not fancy but the food more than makes up for it. The second time we went was a Saturday when we had... More

Everytime I visit Rome, the first place I go to for dinner is Ivo. His Capricciosa with runny egg on top is the absolute best of all pizzas I've tried - it is thin, wet on the inside, with delicious tomato sauce, just the way I (and several other people I took there) like it. It isn't even pretty -... More

We were looking for this restaurant on a rainy evening and eventually stumbled across it, we were not disappointed. The pizzas are cooked in the oven in front of you and the atmosphere is great, cheerful and friendly. People were queuing at the door all evening so it must have a good reputation. Lovely food and friendly service.

I was told by friends that don't look for a nice food in Rome. So I was ready. In Ivo a Trastevere I undertood that my friends were wrong - whatever we ate there was perfect! So delicious! Plain looking and yummy! Bruscetta, pizzas, some local appetizers, home wine. Big portions, que at the entrance, local families having dinner -... More

Ivo was a favorite when I lived in Rome in the 70s. So we went back when in the city last week.Yes it is still very crowded. Yes the scene is still noisy and rowdy on the street where the place is. We all had pizza and liked it a lot. We had the capricciosa (with the runny egg on... More
