Special experience

This was recommended by our hotel, when we requested a "special" restaurant for our last night iin Rome and the culmination of a 17 day vacation in Italy for a 3 generation, family of 8. It was small and elegant and the service was impeccable.

Creative because the chef creates dishes like an out-of-this-world gorgonzola creme brulee! Scrumptious because flavors are great. Respectful because don't expect ridiculous, over the top descriptions Service is a-ma-zing! Really. Wow. Nice little touch at the end with a take home breakfast pastry 😊

We were recommended this restaurant by a friend and it is excellent. Lovely food and fantastic service made for a wonderful evening. The amuse bouche was a good preview- especially the pate filled macaron. For starters, my husband had the pork rolls with fresh plums- so good especially as this dish had pig liver in it. I had the char... More

This was an outstanding dinner for our family holiday. Smiles for every course and the most beautiful friendly service. It felt like an elegant authentic meal at home but very special. The food was amazing and carefully thought out. We have memories for life and a few extra pounds!

My husband and I had dinner at Il Convivio last night and it was a very special evening. It's tucked away in a little street not far from the piazza navona but easy to find. From the start the service was impeccable. The ambience was perfect. We chose the tasting menu with matched wines, with 6 courses plus 3 amuse... More

Nestled in a by-lane in Rome, Il Convivio was such a delight to dine in from start to finish! Extremely elegant and proper with fabulous service, we had a really memorable evening here. The wine catalogue is extensive and the food is divine. We ate red prawns in burrata cheese and a variety of recommended first courses of pasta all... More

in a small neglected ally near the Tiber river (with the help of an experienced taxi driver) one can find one of the best restaurants in Rome and elsewhere. In a few large rooms you are requested to sit with only 4 other big tables though only for couples and be served one of the best meals we ever had!!... More

Just celebrated our 30th anniversary in Italy. To treat ourselves in Rome, we decided on this Michelin star restaurant. We dropped close to 500 Euros on the tasting menu, wine, etc. The food was elegant - the chef puts a lot of emphasis on technique and presentation albeit at the expense of taste and quantity. One expects small portions with... More
