The service was painfully slow and the cocktails were in small cheap petrol station type glasses and not very impressive, I have had much mcuh better! We had several drinks but the waitress would leave dirty glasses behind and we sat waiting for ages to be served each time even though there were only a handful of people there. It's... more

Harry's Bar uses the name because of Harry's Bar in Venice (one of Italy's most famous bars.) They want to associate themselves with the history of that bar, which goes back to the 1920s - present. Harry's Bar in Rome is only 35 years old or so. It is located on the very posh Via Veneto, right at the end.... more

When we saw Harry's Bar across the street from our hotel we thought it would be a chain of Harry's in Venice - kind of a Roman Hard Rock Cafe. We were so wrong. One afternoon we stopped in for a light snack. My husband had the eggplant parmesan and it was both beautiful to look at and tasty. The... more

My wife and I stayed at the Marriott across the street and frequented Harry's several times. After eating Italian the entire 8 days of our stay in Rome, we decided to have a hamburger at Harry's. The ambiance of this restaurant is very warm and provincial which "helped" defray the cost of a double cheeseburger at 20 Euros; that's about... more

During the first week of June of 2007, my companion and I spent a wonderful week in Rome. During the course of the week, while staying at the Westin, we ventured up to Harry's Bar on three different evenings. Wish we had experienced dinner but went for late evening cocktails on the streetside patiio with hors d'oeuvres. Those were some... more

Stopped of for a night cap on the way back to our hotel. Waiter found us a seat and took our order, waited ages for our drinks, meanwhile a large party of Arabs arrived the staff showered over them and had them served within minutes. When our drinks arrived they were poorly presented and as a former barman, felt the... more

A great place to go for a drink or a meal, inside preferred - so book in advance. Enjoy your Bellini! Service is excellent along with attentiveness of staff. Are they perfect - no - but the next best thing in many cases. My wife and I will always look forward to visit - when in Rome! more

Harry's Bar was just up the street from our hotel (Westin Excelsior), so our first night in Rome we decided not to venture far from the hotel. We knew what to expect with prices, so we weren't surprised. The overall experience, service and food were excellent! No complaints there. We sat outside for dinner, and then moved inside to have... more

The front of bar good (not special) place to sit and watch world go by - generally, manic (but skillful) Roman drivers!. However the prices verged on unjustifiable, 22Euro for two small beers, what a welcome to Rome! Prime example on place trading on past reputation. We didn't dare blow the budget with food too. more
