Not fine dining

Nice service but only worth a visit as tourists do! Food is 'snack style' and not Italian style at all. OK for a drink.

After a long day without lunch, Harry's bar is a treat. The conservatory-terrace is a nice place to sit in. Staff is surly to pleasant. Food and drinks are not bad, but location determines price I guess. Salmon sandwiches (white bread and ordinary smoked salmon with crisps), and aubergine (tiny bits) pasta (small portion) cost a lot of money. Must... More

The food and service were absolutely amazing and in the states the price would have been justified, but in Rome where there are so many awesome options, I found them to be too expensive. Still, I'm glad I visited and would return.

Not worth the money. Over priced and average service. Food was OK but much better dinning near by. Guess the name brings in enough tourists that they do well.

I went to Harry's Bar on my one night in Rome. It is certainly an experience. Besides the old world glamor decor and nice service, even the food, unexpectedly, is very nice. I had the lobster salad and veal, where were definitely among the best tasty things I have had recently. It is pricey, but definitely worth it for any... More

It was overpriced, but we had an amazing meat / cheese plate and wine on the outdoor patio. Enjoyed it!

This place is old Rome. And I mean old. Old clientele, old world service (generally cold but efficient) and old world charm. Had a good pesto with squid--not great--but good. And excellent cocktails. The menu is limited but the atmosphere is Hollywood 1950s. Worth the price (150 euros for two for a simple dinner) if you want to see where... More

After being in Rome all week with our family, we were at the end of our trip and looking for a special place to celebrate my Dad's 70th Bday. Nice location right next to the Borghese park. Place has a nice bar and dining in the back. Also has covered patio, when the weather permits. We made a reservation ahead... More

Had been wandering around Rome doing the tourist thing with my wife who's birthday it is today and unfortunately it's been pouring down so decided to get out of the wet and go to Harry's Bar for a drink. We got there and ended up staying for lunch, the meal was superb, the service friendly and attentive it was a... More

Neighborhood Profile
Ludovisi / Via Veneto
Thanks to Fellini and La Dolce Vita, the Ludovisi and Via Veneto neighborhood earned its reputation as a posh area where gorgeous Marcellos wooed actresses and models while bored housewives hung out in streetside cafes. The cafes are still there, and so are the cocktails, but the neighborhood is now home to five-star businesses including hotels, banks, law firms, and embassies. The area is also right next to Villa Borghese, a beautiful park for sporting and cultural adventures. If you're looking for tranquility by night, this may be the place: Ludovisi and Veneto tend to shut down after 8pm.
