Strong tastes

We took the 28€ menu which consisted 4 courses, each one a bit smaller than if you order them separately. It was more than enough. The 1st course was 3 small dishes of fish which were delicious. Then we had the spaghetti carbonara. At 1st you say "wow" but then the taste is so strong and rich that... read more

We had an amazing time for the new year eve, with fantastic dishes and their matching wine. All dishes were served with an explanation of the dish and how it matches the local wine. Make sure to go there without eating all day, as we had a celebratory dinner and party when the fire works started , all the staff... More

Pros: the awesome FOOD; excellent location in heart of Rome, just off main streets; cozy but stylish atmosphere; relaxed, friendly service (fine to take your time, no rush) Cons: ?? Maybe the bathroom could have been nicer? We had a preset Christmas menu for 45euros and it was delicious! Multiple, multipart courses with two bottles of wine....soooo good!

Christmas is a difficult time to find a non-touristy place for dinner, particularly in an area like Campo de Fiori. While the piazza itself has plenty of places to eat (each with its own tout asking in English if you want to stop in "just for a drink") do yourself a huge favor and walk one short block to the... I've eaten in Grappolo many times both on business and with family and its never failed to impress. The service is friendly but not overwhelming and the food is excellent. I seem to have settled on the cacio e pepe as my favourite here, but it's all good. Highly recommended, if you can get a table.

We were very tired after walking almost the entire day but we decided to have dinner in a restaurant close to Campo dei Fiori. Relatively cosy, I guess the reason to spend some time there is to enjoy a very good Carbonara or Amatriciana. If you hapoen to be there in November go also for the Puntarelle. You will be... More

We ate in Grappolo d'Oro one evening during our stay in Rome and had the excellent value four course Percorso Romano which also included water and bread all for 28 euros per person, with wine and coffees added we were still under 80 euros in total. The primo piatto was probably the best Spaghetti Carbonana that either my wife or... More

Had a good meal here, the sister restaurant to Ditirambo on the other side of the street. Nice ambiance sitting outside enjoying the remaining heat of a Roman autumn day. The food was good: both of us had the courgette with Parmesan as starters and unusually for us both had lamb cutlets as a main. Very pleasant but not as... More

Excellent restaurant close to touristy Campo de' Fiori. A fantastic tasting menu "Percorso Romano" at 28 Euro is hard to beat, the waiters are friendly and efficient and the food is very, very good. The only drawback is the acoustics, one noisy group makes it hard to hear what oneself thinks. Greatly recommended.
