As good as ever

We first came here 10 years ago, and it is as good as ever. No touts outside, people know this is good. Very good choice of primo and secundo with a good choice of wines. We ate outside, risky in April as it can get cool, so recommend booking to sit inside. This and the restaurant opposite are... read more

We were looking for somewhere special to eat on our last night in Rome. After reading all the very positive reviews we decided to go here as it seemed to tick all the boxes. We took a taxi from the other side of the city with high expectations. Unfortunately these were not met. I ordered the beef cheeks and was... More

Nice and central place to eat. They had good selection of Lazio wines and very nice artichokes. As we were there over Easter period – we had a very good lamp roast.

We stumbled into this little family restaurant as we sought shelter from the rain... It was Easter Sunday so it was packed with Italian families enjoying a proper meal out... Was charming to see people get up and give the proprietor a hug before paying a leaving... You could tell this place is a community staple and we were sold... More

We really enjoyed this restaurant! The food and the wine was just delicious and as not many tourists were in the Restaurant we almost thought we were the only visitors in Rome. The interior is simple and neat which I liked a lot. Worth a visit!

This is a good place to eat and drink. The food and wine offered was definitely above the quality of what you can expect in such a popular area of the city. I will definitely eat there again.

Excellent Roman food in one of the nicest districts of Rome. A lovely place to eat after strolling around the Campo di Fiori. Good food and good choice of wines. Our visit actually goes back several years, but we'll be back very soon, and Roman friends assure us it is as good as ever.

I've been in Rome for a week as a solo business traveler. I had mostly excellent food with one crappy overpriced exception. Il grappolo d'oro was recommended by the old ladies manning the small old bar around the corner. Always a good place to start. And they were right. Great food. Decent price. Service with a smile and stylish yet... More

This restaurant came highly recommended by our B & B and I can understand why. The service was impeccable and the waiting staff were friendly and helpful. This was a Monday night and the place was packed. The food was cooked to perfection and beautifully presented. I ordered beef cheeks for my second course, saying that I had never tasted... More
