Very nice reservation staff for organizing a dinner party for 9 persons. Very accomodative for menu selections. Ambience is very good, but would recommend having music that fits with the theme and style of restaurant to enhance the experience. Wait staff service is very good, and as we had one of the private dining rooms, we found them to be... More

Great location, excellent food, first course aggplant was great, ravouli was very tasty, salad was very simple so maybe skip it and try other dishes. The food is coming with very tasty slices of bread. Service was great. Will probably come again, this is one of the best restaurants in Rome

The restaurant was recommended to us by a friend. We would never have travelled to this area of Rome but were pleased we did. Great atmosphere and the food was really good! Beautiful hidden gem!

We had a group dinner during a Congress at this restaurant which was well decorated. The service was attentive although the restaurant was fully booked with a crowded group; us. Location is outside the city at a isolated quite but a nice place. The fish and pasta dishes were great. Highly recommended

This restaurant was recommended to us by friends. It was a bit of a drive from our hotel, but it was worth it. After over a week of pasta, pizza, and paninis, this food was a breath of fresh air. The open kebab appetizer was the best thing I have ever put in my mouth. We talked about ordering another... More

The Restaurant is well decorated in puristic style. High quality of table wear. Table bread, amuse gueule and the rest including desert, coffee and Grappe was continously of high quality and beautifully arranged. The winelist was exorbitant regarding quantity and quality. Service was very souverain - always attentive although the restaurant was fully booked. Location is fine - outside the... More

The Antico Arco is an amazing find in what is otherwise a culinary desert. We ate there with friends on the last night of a seven day stay, and it was by far the best restaurant meal we had in Rome. My only quibble is that they parked us in a side room that seemed to be dedicated to English... More

We planned our visit to Antico Arco to be the culinary zenith of our trip to Rome and it did not disappoint. New York City restaurants are a formidable force when it comes to the eventual comparisons with restaurants regarded top-quality elsewhere in the world. But Arco competes effortlessly with the best. Unless already staying in the Monteverde area, a... More

Very good dining experience. Dishes were prepared with attention to detail and very well executed. Good wine selection. Very accommodating since it was raining and we arrived earlier than reservation. Impeccable service.

Staying in Monteverde

Neighborhood Profile
Monteverde
Above the city on the Janiculum hill, Monteverde is Rome’s popular "getaway" neighborhood, coveted for its greenery. Rome's largest urban park, Villa Pamphili, is the area's centerpiece with affordable prices and peace and quiet. Monteverde is just far enough away from the center to feel like you’re on a Roman holiday and close enough to feel the lure of Rome's chaos. Though its downside is the lack of scheduled public transport, this family-oriented area is literally a well-deserved walk in the park.
