My daughter surprised me for my birthday this year by taking me to Antico Arco. She always has a way of spoiling me for my birthday with something new each year, and I have to say, my special dinner at Antico Arco was absolutely the best experience ever! As an expat living in Rome for over 30 years I always... More

I just celebrated my birthday dinner in the lovely Antico Arco. We were a large group of 26 people, friends and family from Rome and abroad, and we were all (especially including the birthday girl!) extremely impressed with absolutely everything. We were seated in a reserved area, an exquisite private room just for us which was a special treat as... More

First ask your taxi driver (you'll need one unless you fancy a 20 minute walk up a very steep hill) to drop you off down the road from the restaurant to admire the panoramic view of Rome. Then it's a five minute walk back up the street to this beautifully decorated restaurant. The food can be summarised as artistic, unique... More

I've been to Rome many times and found myself eating in Trastevere area more this time, there are many amazing restaurants. I really enjoyed Antico Arco as a nice to change to the traditional roman dishes I typically eat every day while there. The duck lamb kabob was incredible. Our group ate mostly fish dishes though and we loved them... More

This restaurant is close to Passeggiata del Gianicolo so you can go for a romantic walk and admire the breathtaking and panoramic views of Rome and then go for a romantic dinner at Antico Arco. The place is not too big but very nice and the food is excellent. Not cheap but good value for money. Great atmosphere. Probably more... More

Antico Arco, located atop the Gianicolo Hill overlooking Rome is a perfect dining experience from beginning to end. Understated and elegant you will want to plan on spending at least 2 hours to slowly enjoy. The interior is painted in a pearly cream that shimmers subtly against the creamy linens and soft gray upholstery. I dined there a few days... More

I had booked this restaurant for my husband's 65th birthday. This meal was definitely the highlight of our Roman holiday. The food was exquisite, the cacio e pepe spaghetti is extremely salty, i was forewarned by the waiter but i still went ahead and ordered it .... i would order something else next time as an appetizer but it was... On a glorious day after Christmas, this was one of the few places open. Our good luck! What a good lunch. Crisp local white wine, housemade hazelnut grissini, chickpea soup, onion-filled rolls--all excellent. For us, it is the lasagna that makes this place a destination. We will be back as often as we can. We love the top of Gianicolo... More

I went to Antico Arco for a romantic dinner with my girlfriend and we were excited from the atmosphere, service, food. It needs reservation as it is very popular both to tourists and locals. You need a taxi to go as it is on the top of a hill. Be prepared to pay 60 - 70 euro per person but... More

I'm going to be dreaming about the carbonara for a long time to come. It was one of the best things I've ever eaten. Ever. Just so so darn good. I'm at a loss for words. We came for lunch on a weekday. The restaurant is a bit out of the normal tourist path of the city. It was a... More
