Perfectly acceptable (good rating rather than average)

This place came up in one of the guide books, so we thought we'd give it a go. Again, the limitations of the Tripadvisor ratings system leave me a little frustrated as it wasn't 'average' but neither was it 'very good'. It was fine/good. Service: perfectly adequate Food: some pleasant dishes (not... read more

The place is very well locayed and has a trendy look mixing industrial touch and vintage furniture. The atmosphere is nice full with locals and the service is really nice. In terms of food, we tried the pumpkin flowers filled with anchovies and cheese but the batter was too thick and reminded me of the fish and chips. I've tried... More

We visited Gusto with 4 other couples and the weather was warm so we sat outside. Very nice location for dining outdoors. Very friendly staff and good food. It's walking distance from the Spanish Steps area.

We enjoyed the great food. Some waiters were nicer than others. We were asked not to sit under the archway (the tables with with wicker chairs) by one unpleasant waiter but as we did not want to sit in another part of the terrace, we asked another waiter who was much more friendly: He was professional and the service was... Food was gorgeous and beautifully presented staff were courteous and attentive we were just idling time while we waited for our hotel room to be ready and stopped for a light meal which turned into a 3 course with wine it was a fantastic start to a fantastic break I highly recommend!

The restaurant side was over priced and the food was not that good, we had better meals for cheaper at other places. However we also tried the Pizza side and it was much better with reasonable prices.

We had heard that several palces in Rome do aperitivos in the evening where with a drink you get lots of snacks - a version of American Happy Hour. We arrived at seven when it started but it was already hopping with just one free table for two which we snagged. We ordered a bottle of red wine and were... More

The service took ages and the the taste of pizza was not at all from the best side. If you have too much time and the doesn't matter this is the right place. Otherwise you should select something else....

We decided to visit the restaurant after receiving a recommendation from a local italian. he definitely knew what he was talking about! We arrived a bit before 20:00 and we were lucky because 20 min' later the whole restaurant was full and people waited in line. The location is great because its a 2 min' walk from Via Del Corso... On a long walking tour, we stopped to see if they could accomodate our group of 11 for lunch. They did- and we were pleased. A fine experience. Excellent pizza- a very fine, crispy crust. Really good - The lasagna is wonderful, and even something as simple as a mixed salad with tuna was turned into something special. Highly recommended!

Staying in Campo Marzio

Neighborhood Profile
Campo Marzio
From its original role as ancient army training fields to its present-day identity as one of the city’s most desirable neighborhoods, the Campo Marzio is the best place to get lost in Rome. Gorgeous Renaissance and Baroque palazzos line the streets, and are filled with enticing boutiques and food shops. By day, Rome’s best-dressed denizens criss-cross its streets in a fashionable parade of errands, occasionally pausing to look fabulous in gorgeous piazzas like San Lorenzo in Lucina. Campo Marzio can be a bit of a sleeper after aperitivi hour (9pm), so visit by day and experience the pulse of daytime Rome.
