For our last night in Rome we were looking for a 'proprio Romano' place off the beaten track. Not that easy to find in Rome to be honest. We were staying in Ottaviano area, so it took us about 20 minutes by car to get here. I must say that would have been difficult without the car and the Tom... More

Hard to fine restaurant but not far off the beatten path. Owned by a charming and attentive young couple. Best Bruschetta I have ever had. Great Pasta and wonderful bottled house wine. Played old Frank Sinatra records. A lovely evening. Highly reccomend.

We landed in Roma and rush to the restaurant as it was already quite late! We were warmly welcomed and the place is run in a family style. The husband seems to be quite passionate and knowledgeable concerning italian wines. He is sharing deeply his discoveries with customers. The food was lovely, not sophisticated but full of taste and with... More

We were staying in the heart of Rome but wanted something authentic so headed here after all the reviews we read. Wasn't so hard to find - a 9 minute train raid from Termini costing 2 Euros for two of us. Once we came up the street Marcello waved us in also. Food was good and Marcello and his wife... More

With only a couple of days in Rome I did a lot of research to choose a restaurant that was reasonably priced, local and with excellent food. This place exceeded expectations. Marcello and his wife were wonderful hosts. They took time to talk us through all the dishes. They explained the menu and the wines making excellent recommendations. We had... More

We went to this restaurant because we had found it on Tripadvisor and liked the reviews. We wanted a Restaurant off the beaten track that would be traditional, with good food and few tourists, we were not disappointed! Excellent service, both friendly and Knowledgable about their food which was home made from local produce. Exquisite tasting food at a very... More

Tucked away in the Travestere neighborhood is a small, family owned restaurant run by a lovely and generous young couple and their mother. The food is honest Roman cuisine made from scratch with fresh local ingredients. Don't let the location put you off, it's worth spending extra on a taxi to get there. The atmosphere inside is warm and inviting.... More

This was a bit hard to find in the dark. But that was quickly forgotten when we came in the door. Very warm welcome from the owners and a glass of wine. Great menu with Roman dishes, Makes their own pasta (the mother of on of the owners makes it). Nice prices and a good selection of wine that is... More

I went to NOI restaurant with some family and friends, and we had an amazing evening with good food and good service. The owner explained the entire menu to us in English which was very helpful since it's in Italian. I can definitely recommend the restaurant and their homemade tiramisu which was the best I've ever tasted.

NOI was not what I was expecting but all the better for it! Relaxed and in a residential area. As it got dark, the candlelit outside space became inviting. The service was fantastic - menu items were described in detail for us. The food was delicious. Mmmm lemon meatballs. Just a lovely experience. For info: NOI was difficult to find... More
