This new family-owned restaurant is with no doubt one of Rome's best kept secrets. Authentic, fresh, top quality food is served in a warm and cozy environment. The service is superb. The food is authentic and the menu changes every day. I definitely recommend trying the fettuccine with pachino and sausage or the spaghetti cacio e pepe as pasta dishes;... More

Very nice little restaurant with delicious home-style cooking. About 5 minutes walk from Libia metro (B1). We found this place via Trip Advisor. It's quite a small restaurant, maybe 6 tables. I am guessing it is run by husband and wife - they don't speak any English and we don't speak any Italian. Still, we were able to communicate well... More

We stayed in the Bologna neighborhood and wanted to try a local restaurant based on tripadvisor . La Tana was on top 10 back than. We got the hotel staff to make reservation for us because the owner does not speak English. He can speak a little French. The restaurant is several blocks away from the Libia metro stop. The... More

We ate here last Sunday and brought some friends. I should add we all live in Rome and have eaten at many different places so know what is very much the accepted local delicacies and standards of these. We knew it would be a small restaurant from the reviews. I must add booking is essential for this place! The restaurant... More

I would have never imagined that pepper would give such an amazing taste to pasta, go and try Cado e Pepe, amazing pasta in a cosy and family/friendly atmosphere. Don't forget about dessert, tiramisu is amazing.

Talk about traditional Roman food! This place is amazing, I visited Italy over a year ago and I still remember this place. I had heard about it from a local that we had met the night before- the antipasto is deelish, and our wine and Entrees were divine! Highly recommended!

Food was excellent! Very nice, fresh and the cook kept bringing things. And that was only the antipasto! I cannot reccomend this enough! Thanks TripAdvisor for these gems :)

The fact that I am the only English speaking person to review this fabulous restaurant says it all! This is a superb totally 'non touristy' restaurant in Rome. You won't find this place full of tourists! Beautifully cooked traditional Roman Cuisine, faultless and totally authentic. I will definitely return on our next trip to Rome.
