We had gelato several times while touring italy and this was the absolute Best!! Not only that but much cheaper than most of the places in more heavily tourist areas. We stayed at Visconti Palace and walked here, which was a pleasant trip.

This place got great reviews, and I don't understand how. Not awful, but a marked difference between the gelato we had here and the gelato we had at many of the other recommended places. In fact you can tell by the shiny over-decorated presentation (after this visit we knew immediately to avoid somewhere when the gelato looked this way), the... More

Went here as it was recommended as the best gelato in Italy. Certainly isn't that, have had far superior in both Florence and Como. Service was unfriendly. Asked for the gelato in brioche and the bun was not of good quality.

Came here on a recommendation from the lonely planet guide. Had a very nice ice cream but was nowhere to sit and enjoy it! Had to stand on the busy street with lots of other gelato enthusiasts and smokers. On the plus side there were lots of flavours to choose from and if you prefer, soya based options.

Lots of options and each one very flavourful! Not the biggest portions in Rome, but if you love italian gelato, you have to try this one!

I came here because it was one of the gelaterie recommended by tripadvisor. And it was definitely worth it. I tried the strawberry, stracciatella and orange chocolate cup and it was very very good. The chocolate is fondente and really good! The cream on top wasn't too sweet which is perfect. The only not so good thing was that the... More

This is where the locals go for a spot of icecream during the passegiata. There were people outside it every night. Gelato is made with milk, not cream, and is much lighter than icecream. My husband, who isn't a big foodie, got addicted to the stuff and was really sad to be leaving Rome, mostly cos of this place.

After hearing this was considered to be the best gelato in Rome, we had to go. It's not far from the Vatican and with a relatively easy walk, you can see a less touristy district which is quiet and not full of people selling silk scarves, balls of goo and other tat. A more genuine part of town with a... More
