The 4 of us ordered different sandwiches, service was a bit slow as we were the only ones there, however it was totally worth the little bit... More

Very tasty baguette and smiley staff. I tried #12 tono cereal baguette and was satified. Ingredients were fresh and price (about 4-5 euros) is fair. Try it for fast and tasty lunch.

It's Rome's Subway. Wouldn't ever buy another baguette from here - neither options we tried were decent whatsoever. Better chances just popping into any hole in the wall.

The menu is posted on the wall with a description in Italian and English of the Salads and Sandwiches and their ingredients. The sandwiches were around 5 Euros each. The breads are really good and fresh as are the rest of the ingredients and the sandwiches are made when you order them. The staff friendly and the service fast. They... More

Very good, fresh sandwiches made in front of you. Excellent lunch to eat on the go. For a very good price you can choose between several types of bread and a lot of great tasting toppings.

As mostly everyone else has said, the bread is delicious and the ingredients are fresh! Made right in front you by some really friendly staff. I recommend it to anyone. Also There is this awesome cat sanctuary across the street which is nice to go look at. Apparently it's also where Julius Ceaser was assassinated! who knew the best baguettes... More

Staying in Ghetto

Neighborhood Profile
Ghetto
The mini-neigborhood Ghetto holds tight to its reputation as a stand-alone area thanks to its nearly 300-year history as the home to Rome’s Jewish community. Times changed in the 20th century, but the tiny area still retains its mix of tradition, community, and history. Ancient and medieval architectural design frames apartments, bakeries, shops, and restaurants. Friends and families are the pulse of the neighborhood, keeping company on the Via del Portico d’Ottavia. The Ghetto observes the traditional Jewish Shabbat: businesses close from Friday sundown to Saturday sundown.
