2 Periodico Cafe just opened in the chic shopping area of Monti, not too far from the Coliseum. It’s a hip spot to sit, sip and nibble. The coffee, food and sweets are all delicious, and the decor is delightful eye-candy mix of funky artwork and lovely concept art fashion and home accessories all made right in Rome, many using recycled materials like vintage Italian fashion magazine pages to create purses, bread baskets and flower holders.

So hip!

This place is a great place to hangout to get some drinks. The atmosphere is artsy, cool, and calm just the perfect place to hangout with friends at! I did tried the food, the food isn't great, but the sweets are yum!

VENUE: Recommended by our host and only 10 meters from our doorstep. Shabby eclectic chic. Deceptively small entryway and busy little front right by the bar, which opens up toward the back into a large space with lots of couches, ottomans and cushions. Clearly a lounging type of place and great to sit around drinking with friends. Visited twice -... More

We started and ended all our evenings at this bar. We did not eat and to be honest, the food looked just ok. The drinks however were amazing. Each night there was a new bartender that would make unique and very tasty drinks. The atmosphere is very eclectic and funky. We loved the unique décor and very friendly service. Some... More

I've been coming here a lot for wifi, but only recently discovered that they have a huge room out back! That was great to know, as there's quite limited seating in the main area -- and no outdoor seating. The negative thing I discovered, though, was their brunch. It was very overpriced and not that great in terms of quality.... More

I come here on the weekends to study and love the ambiance. It's probably not for everyone, but perfect for my tastes. The music is eclectic, the decorations are urban and vintage, the coffee is great, and the fresh baked pastries are perfection. WiFi works great and the staff is always friendly. No AC but not a problem in mornings... More

This is a cozy, clean, and hip place for coffee, brunch or drinks. They have wifi and apparently have live music a couple times a week. There is both indoor and outdoor seating, though limited. They are conveniently located in Monti and service was good when I went there with 3 friends.

To start we went here on Valentin's day without really knowing it was Valentin's day. It wasn't to crowded on a Friday afternoon, but cosy enough to just hang around and hit up with friends before dinner. There was this dj booth and the dj played live. Nice chilly tunes. The best of all - if you like chocolate -... More
