Following the advice of many on this site and others, we visited Osteria 44. Upon our arrival, I introduced ourselves (wife and I) to Sergio - he took it from there! Sergio is a true gentleman who believes in customer service and delivering not only great food but a great dining experience that will remain with you, long after the... More

I had such a great experience here. Our concierge recommended this place to us since it was a few blocks from our hotel. When we arrived we were give complimentary Prosecco while our table was being cleaned. Sergio who is either the manager or owner was very friendly and helped us through the menu since it was all in Italian... More

Beware! Old bearded manager looks friendly but nothing will stop him to include some garnish to your bill, which will cost you up to 1/3 of total. Cheating tourists is the worst thing could be so we don't recommend this place.

hidden location not so far from the English embassy considering the posh context, portions are generous, service is exceptional, the only thing, waiters miscommunication conveys a stop/start every 2min cause one of the waiter is asking same things as the previous one (i.e. coffes were denied 4 times) tuna barely cooked with yogurt sauce is definitely a must try unfortunately,... We ve went to this relatively remote restaurants due to a friends recommendation. It is quite hard to find and don't trust google map if you type in the restaurants name. The menu is all in italian but the staff is really warm and will translate them one by one to you in english. The food is extraordinary and delicate... More

Husband and I came here on a Sun. Eve, based on Tripadvisor reviews. Well worth the visit. Sergio speaks perfect English and so helpful with wine and food choices. Everything was lovely. My zucchini appetizer so good, flounder encased in scallops of potatos-yum, and fresh tiramusu- delish. Will definitely go back. Also important to me - clean and modern restroom.

Read all the other good reviews and then see for yourself. Yes, it's a little more expensive then the usual Rome fare, but we had two bottles of wine during a meal which lasted nearly three hours. It was so nice not to be rushed. A real Italian meal experience, at a real Italian pace. We let Sergio choose a... More

We were staying near this restaurant and decided to try a restaurant within walking distance of our hotel as we had previously been out for meals in different areas of Rome. From the minute we walked into the restaurant we were made very welcome by all of the staff. Sergio was brilliant. He went through the menu, which was all... More

We went to this restaurant during our 4 days escape in Rome, and it was absolutelly the best food experience we have tried in Rome. The food was amaizing and the service as well. Signor Sergio (the maitre) was really gentle and fantastic room service. Price a bit above Rome average, but absolutelly fair.
