Fresh and lovely ingredients, a perfect "lighter" lunch in between our typical gorging at dinnertime. Sweet little cafe.

Nice baguette sandwich varieties and they have mini option for small eater. Relax and casual atmosphere. The minis are half baguette sandwich prices at 3.5 euro. We also had mixed vegetable salad with cherry tomato and olive on it. Great place after an exhausting Colosseum touristy trip

We were over pasta after 8 days so we tried Gaudeo for lunch on the second to last day. It was OK. I'm sure there are better restaurants in Rome for a good italian sandwich.

I came here with my family and had a hard time finding food to eat. The paninis are made in advance and are sitting waiting to be bought. From what I saw, they have no sauces at all (the 2 we ordered did not). A recurring item in the sandwiches is orange slices. The ingredients were apparently fresh, though the... More

A late breakfast after a much needed sleep in makes for a difficult time finding a good late lunch. Many restaurants in Rome close between lunch and dinner service. With the help of Katie Parla's Rome, an app that proved to be a wonderful resource for experiencing Rome away from the teeming hordes, I found Gaudeo. One of the features... More

First panini in Rome, and it was great! Really unique combinations on the menu (not the normal ham and cheese you see in a lot of places). The owner was really nice, but be prepared to speak in Italian because he doesn't know any English. I went right before closing, so there might be more people (with better English) who... More

Popped in for a bite to eat, having heard good things about this place in the Monti district. The shop is nicely decorated and the people running it are very passionate. We were given a detailed description of what was on offer and opted to try 2 small paninos. They are all available in 2 sizes, large is better value... More

Wonderful little place. Very friendly owner. Delicious sandwiches and wine. Simple. Great. Consistent. Ate here twice - once for a simple no nonsense dinner and again for lunch a few days later. So good that we ordered the same panini and wine both times and sat in the same places too. Perfect déjà vu. Subway subs should be illegal!

We were advised to come here for an easy lunch by an Italian woman that guide us on a bicycle in legendary places with knowledge and enthusiasm. So we were expecting a lot from a freshly made panino. Actually in spite of the attractive menu of different Italian sandwiches we decided to try, as been adviced, the tagliere for two... More

We were brought here during a tour to take away something to eat since we were starving but there was no much time to seat at a restaurant. This small nice place is specialized in what we call street food but in a Italian style. The girl at the shop was very nice to us and in spite of our... More
