My newly married wife and I ate here twice during our 5 day stay in Rome. Good pasta and friendly servers (thanks, Mimo!). They recommended a bottle of wine that we absolutely loved. Good spot.

Arrived here on our last day in Rome which was unfortunate as we would definitely have returned here again. Waiter was very nice and spoke good English. He gave us recommendations and I ordered the pasta in an oxtail sauce which had an actual ox tail still there! It was delicious!! Would definitely return and recommend.

Definitely the place to try some perfectly executed pasta prepared in very traditional roman sauces: Gricia, Amatriciana, Carbonara, Aio oio, etc. I found the pasta perfectly cooked but it might get a little getting used to an and open mind if you are used to not-so-al-dente. You might never go back to the old ways of cooking it once you've... More

Whoa. Can't say enough great things about this place. Pasta is literally made right in front of you, and the experience is as authentic as you can get. We took our waiter's recommendation on food and ended up with some type of past I had never heard of before carbonara and gnocchi in an oxtail sauce. Insanely good. If we... More

We arrived at Osteria da Fortunata towards 3:30 pm and we had our pick of table, so we sat outside opposite the metal table where the chef was making the fresh pasta. We were promptly welcomed by a charming waiter who patiently explained to us what was in each pasta sauce as many times as we needed, and was honest... More

This is a MUST TRY! Best meal my wife and I had in Rome twice over (we went back twice). My only regret is that we didn't go a third time because there just isn't another place that compares to the fresh pasta, value, and house red. If you're in the mood for pizza or seafood probably look elsewhere but... More

We are staying at the Hotel Campo de Fiori and we asked for suggestions for a close-by restaurant, that was not overly touristy. (Many of the restaurants on the Campo de Fiori have guys shouting at you in English -- "Guys, we got your table right here".) They recommended Osteria da Fortunate, which is literally one block off of the... More

Great great pasta and it somehow added so much to the flavor and enjoyment with the old lady making the pasta right at the window facing the street. We also tried the house wine and it was awesome and matched well with the pasta. The other must try is the penecotta. So so smooth and rich. Our waiter was also... More

The best freshly made pasta and extremely nice service. We felt very welcomed and enjoyed our evening at a lovely table outside. WE liked it so much we went back for lunch later in our trip.
