Incredibly fresh pasta dishes

I was extremely skeptical, as this restaurant is set in the heart of Roman tourism. But what a surprise. The Fortunatas have run this place for years, and the small rooms are buzzing with content costumers. Go for their pasta. They prepare the pasta on the spot - which is also fun watching. Our favourite restaurant whilst visiting Rome - we went on our second night and again on our last night, the food is just amazing! Freshly made pasta by the lovely Italian woman in the window - you can see her making all the pasta and the atmosphere inside is electric! Try the carbonara for an unbelievable meal and we'd recommend... More

I was on the lookout for gnocchi, and the Internet said this place was good for it. So, that's what I went for. I really wish I had another stomach to try another pasta dish, because I could see the lady making the pasta! She sits at a table right in front of the window so passersby can see her... More

Recommended by our tour guide. So glad she did. We had the best pasta while in Italy. They take reservations, and make sure to grab one. The pasta is just wonderful. And the sauces too. Appetizers are good. The lemon meatballs - yummmmmm. So go, and then go back. We went to dinner, and then the next day for lunch.... More

The restaurant itself is very nice and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The pasta was good and obviously made fresh, we also had an aubergine dish which was really good. The only drawbacks are that it is a bit more expensive than similar places and the sauce on both pastas we tried was ok, but not great.

Fortunata is an excellent moderately priced family restaurant. The pasta is home-made and perfectly al dente. The thin crust Roman pizza is superb. Dinner for 4, €80, including a good €20 primitivo.

Delicious meal, authentic Italian food. Also great value. Can be found just off the busy and touristy Campo de Fiori square.

Although located just off the Campo de ' Fiori, this is definitely not a typical tourist menu type restaurant that you find throughout this neighborhood. It serves delicious pasta dishes, freshly made by a staff member sitting in the middle of the restaurant! The space is small and the tables tightly packed together, so be prepared to make friends with... More
