Awesome home cooking

When there is a little Italian lady sitting in the window of the restaurant making pasta by hand, you know its gonna be good. Going off the chefs suggestion, we had some battered and fried vegetables to start. Never had a zucchini croquette before, but it was tasty! We also had fresh buffalo... read more

I went to eat to this restaurant after checking out reviews on tripadvisors. I have to say I normally totally agree with the majority of the reviews but in this case I cannot agree with the 4,5 rating.... I have been in Rome for 4 days and found similar quality at better price pretty much in all the restaurants visited.... More

We came here on our last night in Rome. We just had one course of pasta. It is nice home made pasta but not really special. For the price it does not really compare to other places. Atmosphere was not great and staff didn't seem to care. Oddly they seemed keen to sit different groups together on the same table... More

Very good traditional pasta. Homemade in front of you by the mamma :-). Not expensive and delicious. Big portions so watch out what you order.

We went there since the restaurant we intended to go to was closed because of a public holiday. A quick look on TripAdvisor made this restaurant look like a good choice in a way too touristy area. When we got there, it nevertheless looked like a tourist trap. Since our first (and second) option was closed we nevertheless entered and... More

The restaurant is just off of the piazza where the Pantheon is. We had the carbonara, ox-tail fettuccine, and taligati w/ zucchini. They were all good. The pasta was really fresh and they cooked it to perfection - al dente. I don't personally like cheese that much but their carbonara (cheese and bacon) was really good. Out from the 3,... More

Definitely not the best pasta we had in Italy. The cooking was average. One of our order was under cooked, dry and hard. Will not go back.

The highlight has to be the fresh pasta, perfectly cooked. There's a lady making pasta all evening in the front window - so we learned something too. Although having said that the cannoli were spectacular as well. The waiters were friendly, made a big fuss of the kids, patiently answered our questions in English, and the recommended wines were great... More

One evening we attempted to have dinner at Osteria da Fortunata but we're turned away; it was packed with no seats available. So we made reservations for another evening. The appetizers were good, but nothing special. We ordered several different pastas, all of which were poorly prepared - more than al dente, they were tough. This surprised us given that... More
