I'm not gonna deny, I love fresh homemade pasta. And they do this here! And it's good! However, a pasta dish is more than just the pasta itself. My wife and I ordered a couple of Roman specialties: caccio e pepe and carbonara. Both were good -- for the first few bites -- but were just too heavily seasoned overall... More

I was studying abroad at the Rome center just across the piazza and found this place for dinner. There is a wonderful woman who sits in the store front and hand makes all the pasta for the night, and all the staff is so friendly! The food is AMAZING and the ambiance and experience of eating here only compliments it.... More

We had our first dinner in Roma here. It was a nice atmosphere - especially when the owners mother was rolling out homemade pasta right behind our table! I mean really, can it get any more italian than that?? I thought the food was good. I had a rabbit & red sauce stew and everyone else had pasta. Having had... More

Busy little restaurant with the sweetest little lady making pasta. We had two pasta dishes and we shared a fried artichoke.

My wife and I were in Rome for a vacation, and were able to sneak out for a date night. (The grandparents were watching our kids back at the hotel.) We went to Osteria da Fortunada and they were able to seat us very quickly despite having a full house and us with no reservation. Our server, Marco, instantly made... More

During all our stay in Rome we looked for real non touristic Italian cousine until some friend recommended the Da Fotunata. the restaurant is located in the quiet corner of crowded Campo de Fiori and is very easy to find. Our host Mimo aasured us that the pasta they make locally is one of the best. We were sceptical because... More

We went to the Osteria da Fortunata on our first night in Rome, based on the recommendation at our hotel. I just wanted a simple meal with fresh pasta. It was very fresh...as mentioned before, the pasta is made by a nice lady who could be anyone's grandmother, sitting by the window. The food was simple and the pasta and... More

Authentic atmosphere, with great homemade food. The pasta is made in a corner of the restaurant, upon orders and simply taste amazing, especially the carbonara. The wine is good, and at a great price. Tiramisu was also great, with a great flavour. The service was the best we have had in Rome (3rd visit to Rome), very quick smiling and... More

Brilliant experience on our first night in Rome - very local, very basic, packed tables, small menu ( encouraging in my view), delicious bread, busy but helpful staff, and wonderful food. Home made and looks it, tastes great. Good wine, good fun and great value. Worth seeking out and worth waiting if it's busy.
