This place was recommended by the owner of our B+B so we had our first meal in Rome here. The fresh pasta was good and cheap but a few items we wanted had sold out so we didn't get our first choice of main course. Overall not bad, we came back to use the 10% off voucher they gave us... More

This place was recommended by our B&B and is a typical Italian restaurant, cosy, familiar. Every dish that came out of the semi-open kitchen smelled so good, and our meal (grilled lamb and roasted chicken) was very good. Very busy place but friendly staff. Funny picture on the wall too.

My son and myself were on a five day trip to Rome and went to this restaurant, which we stumbled upon on our first evening as it's literally three minute walk from our wonderful apartment. We had mains and dessert (we wanted the home-made Tiramisu, which was sold out) and both were fabulous, the house red was also very enjoyable... More

My boyfriend and I just happened to come upon La Vacca as we were walking down to the Colloseum from Termini. We stopped in for lunch, which happened to be our first meal since landing 2 hours before and boy were we hungry! I love Italian food and I was really excited to try some authentic Cucina Romana dishes, I... More

We were in Rome for 3 nights and stumbled upon this restaurant on our second night in Rome and had to go back the next night - the food is so delicious! Especially the lasagne! Very hearty and traditional Italian meals. The atmosphere in this little place was great, food was great and the wine was great! And to too... More

You know what they say about hole in the wall places... um... they're freaking awesome! And guess what... this place rocks! The best dinner I had in Rome!!! I have to give major props to our hotel concierge Rosa for recommending this place when everything else was closed during the summer holiday. It was about a couple of minutes walk... More

We went to this restaurant on Wednesday on recommendation and were a little disappointed by the abbreviated menu however the meal was enjoyable and so, travelling with 3 pescatarians, we decided to book for Friday which was their 'fish night' when the menu would open up much more choice. The restaurant has 3 areas: outside on a (pretty much pedestrianised)... More

This restaurant was recommended by the concierge at my hotel and it certainly was worth a visit, in fact I ate here four times. The food was excellent, I tried a different dish each night and the portions were pretty big. I recommend the gnocchi with pesto, it was delicious. The service was excellent and all the staff very friendly,... More

Pros: 1) good home cook food home style but not that special 2) reasonable value for money £40 for 2 including a small carafe of house wine 3) excellent meatballs - will totally recommend! Cons 1) service was very shoddy - waited ages for simple starter of melon with ham (we had a table come later and had finished before... More
