We made an on-line reservation which was confirmed by the booking agency, but when we arrived on a Friday night, the restaurant was full and had no record of it. As it was near our apartment and well-reviewed, we tried again early evening (by Rome standards) on the Monday. Empty when we arrived, other people arrived as the evening wore... More

Dear traveler, for the record has to tell a real experience and not the essence of what they liked it or not. For real I mean everything, what he ordered, drank and finally paid. The advice I can give is the hope that one day, be able to have a restaurant like ours, only then can we face a more... More

Situated in Testaccio, full of interesting restaurants, this one is seafood oriented and I have not a single reason not to reccomend it. We had no reservation (thursdaynight) but since the restaurant is small, I would reccomed it. there were only locals eating there that night. The interier is totally uninteresting but the food for the price is excellent and... More

After a month in Testaccio we’ve been to most of the restaurants in the locality and this has the best original and ‘different’ food. Fantastic flavours. We’ve been there twice and had the ‘degustazione’ tasting plates both times…the first night the seafood ‘dal mare’ and the time second the ‘carne’. Both superb with the ‘carne’ probably slightly better and only... More

At Moli the quality of the food is excellent. The fish we ate was extremely fresh, well prepared (if not a little too oily) and the bill was extremely reasonable given what we ate and drank. The service was attentive and kind. The decor could perhaps do with a little improvement but I care more about the food on offer... More

Interesting restaurant off the main touristic roads in Rome. Menu is interesting and the cooking as well the ingredients selection is very accurate. personnel is very very kind but can take their time... I took the fish dedicated menu and the raw fish of the appetizers was just off the sea.. Also the first and second course was very well... More

Superb! The boys running this place have a simple formula: no fuss, reasonable prices, fresh ingredients, and simple but top quality cooking. There are a few flashy touches on the presentation (a rich spoonful of tiramisu served in a small glass jar), but in most cases it’s the flavor and texture that is memorable. We had the fish menu that... More

Recommended to this restaurant by a Swedish concierge! We had this Fish Tasting Menu, five courses for amazingly only 33 euros. My wife's gluten-free needs were addressed beautifully. Our meal was presented very nicely, looked good and tasted better. The delicate white suggest by the M'd was inexpensive and fabulous. Service was great! This was our BEST dinner in Rome... More

We went to this restaurant on the recommendation of our hotel and couldn't have been happier. It is located in Testaccio... I have been to Rome a few times before, but never to this neighborhood. It has a great vibe, no tourists and very authentic Italian. We had a nice table outdoor and it felt like we were in a... More

Staying in Testaccio

Neighborhood Profile
Testaccio
Put the house music on replay and you have Testaccio, an ancient Roman port and former working class neighborhood where the bass is set to high almost every night of the week. Its collection of discoteche (nightclubs), street parties, and crowded restaurants give it its well-deserved party reputation. During the daytime, Testaccio is more easy listening than club hit, the area is full of locally owned small businesses and has one of the city's larger produce markets.
