Cozy and good food.. little pricy

is good food, and a great menu with good wines. we tried several dishes recommend the filetto do not recommend lasagnetta, was too dry and seemed reheated portions are gourmet size, and the bill was a bit pricy.

Stumbled across this charming restaurant with a little help from Trip Advisor after a friends recommendation turned out to be closed! Tucked away on a side street not far from the Spanish Steps, we received a friendly welcome during a busy evening service. Overall, the wine and food were fantastic, the best we've had in some time and exactly what... More

Just had a fantastic Sunday lunch. Cozy atmosphere, like eating at a friend's place. The highlight of the meal was the roast chicken stuffed with aubergine and wrapped in pancetta (?). Ordered a good selection of contorni as well, including the roast potatoes (definitely get these if you're ordering any meat), cicoria, broccoli, and some puntarelle. The folks running the... More

small romantic restaurant with really grate and quality food. That was our best dinner in Rome. Staff was really very polite (I read some bad reviews and I really wonder why!). We did not had a reservation but the girl welcome us inside and very politely informed us that we can wait at the sofa fro 5 minutes so they... More

Right downstairs from our apartment. We are still in Rome and eaten there twice for lunch. On Thursday we wanted to have dinner there but it was closed for a private party. The manager sent us to a competitor. Our lunches were fantastic and my wife indicated her gluten free pasta was wonderful. I had the bread which was direct... More

I had the tuna for main course, and it was really great. The staff was nice, and the price OK, maybe a bit high. We chose this restaurant because of location and reviews from T.A. I would recommand it.

We greatly enjoyed New Year's Eve at Sofia, so on the last evening of our second Italian vacation, we planned to return. Again, beautiful and tasty food, great wine and a most warm welcome. The details are seen to very carefully at Sofia. An excellent and charming restaurant.

This is a nice restaurant with inviting decorations, great service and a simple menu. The food was good and so was the prices. I ordered the sea dream which was fine but missed someting on the plate. My wife had pasta which she loved from the first bite to the last!

The food was delicious (I've eaten Pasta), the service was great. It was very clean, pretty quick. They were very friendly, and the way they are serving the 'latte' was great. They brought hot milk in a latte glass, then they poured the coffee into hot milk at the table. It was impressing for me as a coffee-lover. The prices... More

If you are in Rome, please consider trying a lovely, small ristorante just blocks from the Spanish Steps, Sophia's. Family owned and operated (Simone and Irene, with able help from sister Bea), the fare is modern Italian cuisine. While in Rome in October 2014, we ate there three times and, believe me, we had lots of other places to select... More
