A great lunch near the Campo Fiori

I had a great lunch with family at Verso Sera in May, 2015. Located near the Campo Fiori, we dinned out doors and in the shade. We loved our meal. Fried zuccini flowers, fried artichokes as starters than really wonderful caccio e' pepe -- one of the best ones we had in Rome! Service was good... read more

Loved this place! Lovely weather, Nice wine, good Italian food and great service. What more could you want? They even served us a big salade for 3 which wasn't on the menu, bit we wanted really really bad. Totally worth your time and money.

Normal prices, food was ok. Service a little slow, but that's Italy. Saltimbocca could be little better though.

Verso Sera is located just off the Campo de Fiori. It shares a lovely small piazza with several other restaurants. It feels less hectic and is a relaxing spot to enjoy wine and small plates outside.

Great location...a little triangular shaped piazza off the Campo de Fiori market square. Good food each time and we had courteous, friendly service. We had dinner there the first night because it was close to our hotel...good choice...the warm temperatures had just arrived in Rome, so we sat at the outdoor tables...cute interior dining spaces also. Delicious food-fried stuffed squash... More

We've ordered artichoke and bruschetta for first dish, it was nice and arrived pretty fast. The waitress had an angry face all the time. Don't know why. No smile, nothing. The worst part was waiting half an hour for spaghetti! It was good, but doesn't worth the wait.

We stopped for a drink at afternoon and sat down outside. I immediately fell in love with the place & its atmosphere. really nice! our drinks have been ok but unfortunately the service was horrible. no "hi", no "bye", no "sorry" (neither when she forgot something of our order nor when she put something on the bill that we did... Just eaten here on our honeymoon. Lovely starters but parmigiana main course was poor. Sloppy and tasteless. Waitress was quite abrupt and seemed to forget we were there. Would not return in a hurry.

We went on a rainy Monday evening and there were only two other tables occupied. Some of the dishes were not very completely described on the menu eg the special pasta did not mention tomato sauce (we asked before ordering). The starters were"unusual". The fried olives with mince - we are not sure it's a winning combination ! The fried... More

Great ambiance, awesome appetizers, service was excellent as was the wine. We had Ronin as our server and he was fantastic. We sat in the back corner of the restaurant with a cute sofa and were able to see outside as well. Very relaxing and a perfect place to sit and enjoy a great meal in Rome.
