So far, we have tried five gelaterias in Rome with very mixed results. The Cremeria Monteforte has been the best so far by a considerable margin, offering very creamy ice cream with an intense flavor. Note that while this cremeria is quite centrally located next to one of the sides of the Pantheon, it's a bit difficult to find since... More

So far the best ice cream bar in Rome. There were way more than 10 sorts available for normal ice cream. Big plus: usually there are only one or two sort of sorbets; here were several sorts. Homemade ice cream tasted very good, especially dark chocolate. There were very many size of cones and cups (up to 7 €). The... More

After visiting the Pantheon on a sweltering hot day, we planned to come here after seeing high reviews on Tripadvisor. One of the best things was that they had rose gelato! Our entire family is crazy about rose, but it is very difficult to find it where we are from. The actual gelato was creamy and bursting with flavor. It... More

We actually came into Cremeria because we saw a queue of Taxi drivers stop and go in, we figured if this is the gelateria of their choice it most be good, and so it was! It is simple with basic flavors but they are all delicious (we kept coming for more during our vacation) The best thing is the Panna... More

Delicious gelato, great location being right next to the pantheon, being able to get some gelato and sitting and just enjoying the view by the pantheon, really nice little area, and very good gelato!

Prime location, right next to the Pantheon. Visited a lot of gelato shops during a 9-night stay in Rome. This was one of the best! Prices on par with other gelato shops in the area.

We stayed at a hotel overlooking the Pantheon and there are several gelato places within a block or two of one another. We had read in a guidebook that this gelato was exceptional. Every day when we were in Rome we would eat gelato and try to find our favorite. This gelato stood out because it was creamier than all... More

You can't really go too wrong with gelato in Rome, most places that serve it do it well, but some stand out more than others. Monteforte is one of those. The location is superb, if you are standing at the fountain looking in to the entrance of the Pantheon it's just to the right of then Pantheon. Go grab yourself... More

We had gelato all over Italy and this was my absolute favorite. As it's right across from the Pantheon, you'd be forgiven for thinking they could get away with peddling any old gelato. Thankfully, Cremeria Monteforte surpassed all expectations with quality ingredients, great flavors, and just the perfect texture. If you find yourself at the Pantheon, you're already having a... After 12 days of touring Italy, where we sampled a few gelatos, we found this gem on our next to last day. We were greeted with warm smiles, it feels very "mom and pop". The prices were very fair, the quality/flavor was unsurpassed and there was no line at 2pm on a Saturday! We like small cup, two flavor combos.... More
