Just not on shabbat

During the week we ate at the milky and meaty restaurants. The milky was excellent (though unpleasant service), the meaty OK (good service). However, we booked for Friday night (35 euros each meal) and were very disappointed with the food - the meat consisted of one scrawny chicken leg per person... read more

My wife and I ate in the Meat BaGhetto restaurant and we both ordered shnitzel with salad and french fries... The meal was excellent... freshly prepared and delicious.

We were recommended by our tour guide to eat in the Jewish Quarter and try as something different. We were recommended the roast lamb and osso bucco as the chef specials so we ordered both. The osso bucco was good although the lamb roast was two small bits of lamb pieces (part of a shoulder and lamb neck a couple... More

After taking a tour of the Jewish Ghetto, we decided to stay in the area for dinner. The meal we had at this restaurant was one of the favorite meals of our entire (2 week) vacation. Absolutely delicious!

I asked for a WiFi connection. I found myself tied to a complicated registration process. The connection was pathetic. I just realized that the registration process was just a way to to extract a "like" from my facebook page. Since my WiFi connection I found my email full of spam from Ba'Ghetto. Be Aware. Apart from this experience, the food... More

Great food in a really interesting area. Service a bit slow but we visited in a heat wave so I can forgive:)

Excited to try carciofi alla giudea, I sat down at Ba'Ghetto one Sunday for lunch. Terrible service overshadowed good food. The artichokes were great, as were the falafel and hummus. But the waiters ignored our table, and acted hostile and annoyed at our requests for water and the bill. With so many places to eat in Rome, I just don't... More

After a very enjoyable dinner across the street, we made a reservation at Ba Ghetto on the basis that it was the other restaurant in the area with the most recommendations. Evidently, earlier on the evening of our reservation there had been an incident involving a staff member. We were seated outside but I could see through the glass window... More

Staying nearby, we ended up here because Enricos in the next street was closed. Firstly, we found the price of wine to be exorbitant. I asked the waiter for a recommendation for the couscous and it was quite tasty but lacking in sauce. However, my husband ordered carbonara which he said was the worst he had ever had.perhaps not a great...
